Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan video animasi dalam meningkatkan civic competence siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar pada materi menerapkan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Civic competence mencakup tiga aspek, yaitu civic knowledge, civic skills, dan civic disposition yang menjadi bagian penting dalam Pendidikan Pancasila sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, lembar observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada uji Wlicoxon, aspek civic knowledge sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000, aspek civic skills sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,317, dan aspek civic disposition sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000. Kemudian, untuk hasil uji Mann Whitney, aspek civic knowledge sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000, aspek civic skills sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,317, dan aspek civic disposition sebesar Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,018. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada civic competence siswa khususnya pada aspek civic knowledge dan civic disposition dan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan siswa yang belajar menggunakan video animasi dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Sementara, pada aspek civic skills, menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, penerapan video animasi terbukti mampu meningkatkan civic knowledge dan civic disposition siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila, sehingga media video animasi dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam penguatan civic competence di sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. This study aims to determine the effect of using animated videos in enhancing the civic competence of first-grade elementary school students on the topic of applying Pancasila values.Civic competence consists of three aspects: civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic disposition, all of which essential components of civic education from an early age. This research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were first-grade elementary students divided into an experimental group and control group. The instruments used were tests, observation sheets, and illustrated questionnaires.The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that for the aspect of civic knowledge, the Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, for civic skills, Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.317, and for civic disposition, Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000. Meanwhile, the Mann-Whitney test results showed that for civic knowledge, Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, for civic skills, Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.317, and for civic disposition, Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.018. These findings indicate a significant improvement in student’s civic competence, particularly in the aspects of civic knowledge and civic disposition. Additionally, there is a significant difference in performance between students who learned using animated videos and those who learned through conventional method. However, no significant difference was found in the aspect of civic skills. Therefore, the use of animated videos is proven to be effective in enhancing student’s civic knowledge and civic disposition regarding Pancasila values, making it a viable alternative medium for strengthening civic competence in elementary eeducation, especially on topics related to Pancasila values.
