    Abstract

    Pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar idealnya memberi ruang bagi siswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses memahami konsep, berdiskusi, menjelaskan, serta menciptakan karya sebagai bentuk ekspresi pemahamannya. Namun, praktik pembelajaran di lapangan masih cenderung didominasi oleh aktivitas guru, sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dan mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi, termasuk pada topik gaya dan gerak. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, guru kelas IV di SDN 2 Pusakasari mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) yang dipadukan dengan asesmen portofolio untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, reflektif, dan terdokumentasi secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses perancangan dan implementasi model RADEC berbasis asesmen portofolio, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan daya tariknya dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian menggunakan metode implementation research dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi RADEC dapat diterapkan dengan penyesuaian terhadap karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar. Tantangan utama yang ditemukan meliputi rendahnya kebiasaan membaca mandiri dan belum terbiasanya siswa mengemukakan pendapat secara terbuka. Namun, dengan dukungan asesmen portofolio, proses belajar dapat terdokumentasi secara utuh dan mencerminkan perkembangan pemahaman siswa. Temuan ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan literasi sejak awal, penyusunan LKPD yang kontekstual, serta penerapan portofolio sebagai bagian dari evaluasi autentik yang mendukung proses belajar siswa secara berkelanjutan. The implementation of learning in elementary schools ideally provides space for students to be actively involved in the process of understanding concepts, discussing, explaining, and creating work as a form of expression of their understanding. However, learning practices in the field still tend to be dominated by teacher activities, so that students become passive and have difficulty in understanding the material, including on the topic of force and motion. Based on these conditions, the fourth grade teacher at SDN 2 Pusakasari implemented the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model combined with portfolio assessment to support more active, reflective, and thoroughly documented learning. This study aims to examine the process of designing and implementing the RADEC model based on portfolio assessment, as well as identifying its challenges and attractiveness in science learning. The study used the implementation research method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that RADEC implementation can be applied with adjustments to the characteristics of elementary school students. The main challenges found include the low level of independent reading habits and the unaccustomed students to express their opinions openly. However, with the support of portfolio assessment, the learning process can be fully documented and reflect the development of students' understanding. The findings recommend the importance of strengthening literacy from the beginning, preparing contextualized LKPDs, and implementing portfolios as part of authentic evaluation that supports the student learning process in a sustainable manner.
