Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning dengan bantuan media Assemblr Edu terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh rendahnya literasi sains siswa dan kurangnya variasi serta inovasi media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SDN Cikalongsari tahun ajaran 2024/2025 di Kabupaten Karawang. Sampel penelitian adalah 22 siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VB sebagai kelas kontrol di SDN Cikalongsari I, masing-masing terdiri dari 22 siswa. Kelas eksperimen melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Assemblr Edu, sedangkan kelas kontrol melaksanakan model Direct Instruction. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes uraian yang dirancang untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa berdasarkan indikator yang digunakan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Assemblr Edu terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa sebesar 51% dan hasil uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Assemblr Edu berada pada nilai 76% yang berada pada interprestasi tinggi, sedangkan kelas control yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction menghasilkan nilai 68% yang berada pada interprestasi sedang. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan literasi sains siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model Discovery Learning yang didukung oleh media Assemblr Edu terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. ----- This study aims to investigate the impact of the Discovery Learning model utilizing Assemblr Edu media on the scientific literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of the study is based on the low scientific literacy of students and the lack of variety and innovation of learning media used by teachers. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was students of Cikalongsari Elementary School in the 2024/2025 academic year in Karawang Regency. The research sample was 22 students of class VA as the experimental class and VB as the control class at Cikalongsari I Elementary School, each consisting of 22 students. The experimental class implemented learning with the Discovery Learning model assisted by Assemblr Edu media, while the control class implemented the Direct Instruction model. The instrument used was a descriptive test designed to measure students' scientific literacy skills based on the indicators used. The results of the data analysis showed that the influence of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Assemblr Edu media on students' scientific literacy abilities was 51%. The results of the N-Gain test of the experimental class using the Discovery Learning model assisted by Assemblr Edu media were at a value of 76% which was in a high interpretation, while the control class using the Direct Instruction model produced a value of 68% which was in a medium interpretation.
