Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi berbasis internet mendorong kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran dan bimbingan yang dapat diakses secara daring tanpa batasan jarak dan waktu. Dalam konteks Program Studi Sistem Telekomunikasi UPI Purwakarta, dibutuhkan sebuah solusi yang mampu memfasilitasi kegiatan bimbingan online secara efektif, interaktif, dan mudah diakses oleh civitas akademika. Penelitian ini merancang dan membangun aplikasi video conference berbasis web yang memanfaatkan WebRTC sebagai inti komunikasi real-time untuk audio, video, screen sharing, dan chat. Implementasi antarmuka dilakukan menggunakan React.js (TypeScript) dengan Elastic UI untuk komponen desain, Redux Toolkit untuk manajemen state, serta integrasi Firebase (Authentication dan Firestore) dan Zegocloud Software Development Kit (SDK) sebagai penyedia layanan media conference berbasis cloud. Pengembangan sistem mengikuti model waterfall meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Kualitas fungsional sistem diuji menggunakan Black Box Testing, sementara tingkat kemudahan penggunaan diukur dengan System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasilnya menunjukkan seluruh fitur bekerja sesuai spesifikasi dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100% pada pengujian fungsional, dan skor SUS rata-rata sebesar 87,1 yang termasuk kategori Excellent (Grade A). Kesimpulannya, aplikasi yang dibangun layak digunakan untuk mendukung bimbingan online dengan fungsionalitas tinggi dan kemudahan penggunaan yang sangat baik. Sistem ini juga memiliki potensi untuk diperluas menjadi platform pendukung kuliah daring, rapat skala besar, dan kegiatan kolaborasi jarak jauh lainnya. ----- The development of internet-based communication technology has increased the demand for learning and guidance media that can be accessed online without geographical and time limitations. In the context of the Telecommunication Systems Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Purwakarta, there is a need for a solution that can effectively facilitate online guidance activities in an interactive and accessible manner for the academic community. This research presents the design and development of a web-based video conference application utilizing WebRTC as the core real-time communication technology for audio, video, screen sharing, and chat. The interface is implemented using React.js (TypeScript) with Elastic UI for design components, Redux Toolkit for state management, and integrated with Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and Zegocloud Software Development Kit (SDK) as the cloud-based media conferencing service. The development follows the waterfall model, covering requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. Functional quality was tested using Black Box Testing, while usability was measured using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results indicate that all features operate according to specifications with a 100% success rate in functional testing, and an average SUS score of 87.1, classified as Excellent (Grade A). In conclusion, the developed application is highly feasible for supporting online guidance with excellent functionality and usability. It also has the potential to be expanded into a platform supporting online lectures, large-scale meetings, and other remote collaboration activities.
