Abstract
Pendidikan seksual anak usia dini merupakan aspek penting dalam perlindungan anak yang bertujuan membekali mereka dengan pengetahuan dasar mengenai tubuh, batasan pribadi, dan keterampilan melindungi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas metode storytelling dengan media Puppitech terhadap peningkatan pemahaman pendidikan seksual pada anak usia dini. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest melibatkan 20 anak usia 5–6 tahun di salah satu TK di Kota Purwakarta. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi yang mencakup lima indikator pemahaman pendidikan seksual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 10,05 pada pretest menjadi 17,45 pada posttest. Perhitungan N-Gain sebesar 0,75 termasuk kategori tinggi, dan uji Paired Sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa Puppitech, yang menggabungkan boneka tangan, teknologi suara, dan cerita digital, efektif menyampaikan materi sensitif secara menyenangkan, aman, dan sesuai tahap perkembangan anak usia dini. ----- Early childhood sexuality education is a crucial aspect of child protection, aiming to equip children with basic knowledge about their bodies, personal boundaries, and self-protection skills. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Puppitech storytelling method in improving understanding of sexuality education in early childhood. The research approach used was quantitative, with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 20 children aged 5–6 years in a kindergarten in Purwakarta City. The data collection instrument was an observation sheet covering five indicators of sexuality education understanding. The results showed an increase in the average score from 10.05 in the pretest to 17.45 in the posttest. The N-Gain calculation of 0.75 is considered high, and the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between before and after the treatment. These findings demonstrate that Puppitech, which combines hand puppets, voice technology, and digital storytelling, effectively conveys sensitive material in a fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate way for early childhood.
