Abstract

Dewasa ini, modal sosial yang mencakup jaringan hubungan, kepercayaan dan norma sosial menjadi faktor kunci dalam memfasilitasi transformasi sosial yang berkelanjutan. Di Jatiwangi, wilayah Kabupaten Majalengka, Jawa Barat, muncul fenomena menarik yang menunjukkan bahwa bagaimana modal sosial bisa menjadi pendorong transformasi sosial berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lebih jauh tentang modal sosial komunitas Jatiwangi Art Factory sebagai strategi transformasi sosial yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil temuan pada penelitian ini adalah (1) Modal sosial yang ada pada komunitas Jatiwangi Art Factory (JAF) yaitu kepercayaan (trust), norma (norms), jejaring tingkat tinggi (network); (2) Strategi berbasis modal sosial pada komunitas Jatiwangi Art Factory yaitu terdapat 10 Strategi Imunisasi Budaya yang menunjukkan komunitas ini dapat bertahan hingga saat ini; (3) Tingkat penerimaan pada masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan modal sosial pada komunitas Jatiwangi Art Factory sangat tinggi, terbukti bahwa adanya respons kreatif terhadap tantangan sosial dan ekonom, terdapat nilai-nilai gotong-royong, kreativitas dan eskpresi budaya yang menjadi bagian dari pola pikir dan tindakan masyarakat. Nowadays, social capital which includes networks of relationships, trust, and social norms has become a key factor in facilitating sustainable social transformation. In Jatiwangi, a region in the Majalengka Regency of West Java, an interesting phenomenon has emerged that illustrates how social capital can serve as a driver for sustainable social change. This study aims to further analyze the social capital of the Jatiwangi Art Factory (JAF) community as a strategy for sustainable social transformation. The findings of this study are as follows (1) The social capital present within the Jatiwangi Art Factory community includes trust, norms, and high-level networks; (2) The community’s social capital-based strategy consists of ten "Cultural Immunization Strategies" that have enabled the community to endure over time; (3) The level of public acceptance of the utilization of social capital in the Jatiwangi Art Factory community is very high, as evidenced by creative responses to social and economic challenges, as well as the presence of values such as mutual cooperation, creativity, and cultural expression that have become integral to the community’s mindset and behavior.
