Abstract
Pendidikan di tingkat sekolah dasar masih banyak dipengaruhi oleh strategi pembelajaran konvensional, seperti ceramah, yang sering kali kurang efektif dalam menyampaikan konsep-konsep abstrak, seperti pada materi wujud zat dan perubahannya. Keterbatasan sumber daya pendidikan yang menarik dan dinamis membuat pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran semakin sulit. Masalah ini menjadi semakin serius akibat penggunaan teknologi yang terbatas dalam aktivitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran, terutama di tingkat sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa di SDN Pari, Kecamatan Surian, Kabupaten Sumedang, ditemukan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep wujud zat karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan belum didukung oleh media visual yang sesuai dengan karakteristik mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video animasi pembelajaran interaktif pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) dengan fokus pada materi wujud zat untuk siswa kelas IV SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahap: Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Video animasi dirancang menggunakan aplikasi Canva dengan tampilan visual dan audio yang menarik serta disesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan kognitif siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket validasi ahli, angket respons siswa (System Usability Scale/SUS), dan wawancara. Hasil validasi dari ahli media menunjukkan kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 90%, sedangkan validasi dari ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 95% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak” untuk digunakan. Respons siswa terhadap penggunaan video animasi ini menunjukkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 82,92%, yang dikategorikan sebagai sangat layak. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video animasi ini layak digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran IPAS pada materi wujud zat untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. The learning process at the elementary school level is still largely influenced by conventional methods, such as lectures and the use of textbooks, which often prove to be less effective in conveying abstract concepts, including the material on states of matter and their changes. The lack of interactive and engaging learning media contributes to students' low understanding of this material. This issue is further exacerbated by the limited utilization of technology in teaching and learning activities, particularly at the elementary school level. Based on observations and interviews with teachers and students at SDN Pari, Surian District, Sumedang Regency, it was found that students face difficulties in understanding the concept of states of matter because the learning process is not supported by visual media that aligns with the characteristics of the students. This study aims to develop interactive animated learning videos for the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) focusing on the material of states of matter for fourth-grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The animated videos are designed using the Canva application, featuring engaging visual and audio elements tailored to the cognitive development level of the students. The research instruments include expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires (System Usability Scale/SUS), and interviews. The validation results from media experts indicate a "Very Feasible" category with an average percentage of 90%, while validation from content experts received an average percentage of 95%, also categorized as "Very Feasible" for use. Student responses to the use of these animated videos showed an average percentage of 82.92%, categorized as very feasible. Therefore, based on these results, it can be concluded that this animated video media is suitable to be used as an alternative in IPAS learning on the material of states of matter for fourth-grade elementary school students.
