Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang adanya indikasi bahwa kinerja guru RA di kota Bandung belum menunjukkan kinerja yang memadai. Untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru diperlukan perilaku kepemimpinan berbasis nilai Kepala RA dan kompensasi yang layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan gambaran kepemimpinan berbasis nilai kepala RA, kompensasi guru RA dan Kinerja guru RA serta untuk mengetahui berapa besar pengaruh antara perilaku kepemimpinan kepala RA dan kompensasi guru terhadap kinerja guru RA. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru RA di kota Bandung yang terdiri dari 183 RA denganjumlah guru sekitar 1107 orang. Sampeldiambil 32 RA denganjumlah guru 172 orang. Guru – guru RA yang menjadi responden diminta mengisi angket mengenai perilaku kepemimpinan kepala RA, mengenai kompensasi guru RA dan mengenai kinerja guru. Data yang diperoleh diproses menggunakan SPSS seri 20. Dari hasilpenelitian didapatkan bahwa kinerja guru RA di Kota Bandung berada padakatagori tinggi, demikian juga dengan kepemimpinan kepala RA berada pada katagori tinggi, sedangkan kompensasi yang didapat guru berada pada katagori layak. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala RA dan kompensasi secara bersama-sama berpengaruh besar terhadap kinerja guru. Setelah melihat hasil penelitian penulis merekomendasikan: 1) agar kepala RA mempertahankan sikap kepemimpinan berbasis nilai dan terus menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari; 2) memperhatikan kompensasi guru seperti member kenaikan gajiberkala dengan berbasis prestasi; 3) member apresiasi kepada guru yang berprestasi sehingga guru merasa lebih dihargai; 4) Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa masih banyak guru yang belum tertarik dan belum memahami akan pentingnya PTK untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya, sehingga penulis menganggap perlu untuk memberikan pelatihan PTK kepada para guru RA dan mengadakan program yang mewajibkan guru membuat PTK secara bergiliran dengan memberi fasilitas yang memadai; 5) merekomendasikan agar kepala RA mengadakan pertemuan, dengan berkunjung kerumah guru, agar terjalin komunikasi yang baik; 6) kepala RA hendaknya memeriksa tugas administrasi yang dilakukan guru dan membimbingnya sehingga terus mengalami perbaikan. KataKunci : Kepemimpinan Berbasis Nilai Kepala RA, Kompensasi Guru, Kinerja Guru This study was driven by the indication of the low performance of the Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers in Bandung. To increase the teachers’ performance, value-based leadership behaviors of the RA headmasters and proper compensation for the teachers are needed. The following study is aimed to depict the nature and the influence of the value-based leadership of the RA headmasters and the compensation to the teachers’ performance. A quantitative approach using a descriptive method was used in the following study. The population of the RA teachers is 1,107 from 183 schools in Bandung. The engaged sample in this research was 172 RA teachers from 32 schools. The respondents were asked to fill out questionnaire regarding the behaviors of the RA headmasters, the compensation for the teachers, and teachers’ performance. The obtained data were then calculated using SPSS 20. The data shows that both the performance level of the RA teachers and the leadership of the RA headmasters in Bandung were high. Meanwhile, the compensation for the teachers was in good category. Based on the data, it can be seen that the RA headmasters’ behaviors and the compensation presumably influence the teachers’ performance. Based on the result of the study, it is recommended that RA headmasters 1) maintain the value-based leadership and keep practicing it on daily basis; (2) concern the compensation for the teachers, for example, regular pay rise based on the teachers’ performance; (3) appreciate the teachers’ achievements; (4) encourage teachers to understand and conduct action research for its fruitfulness in increasing the teachers’ performance by providing the training and adequate facilities to do so and requiring the teachers to conduct action research; (5)held meeting or pay a visit to teachers’ residence in order to build good communication; and (6) maintain the supervision for the teachers’ administration work and provide consultation for a better result.
