    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN 3 Sindangkasih. Hal ini terlihat ketika siswa mengalami kesulitan menjawab pertanyaan terkait isi bacaan, seperti mengidentifikasi gagasan utama, meringkas teks, dan memahami makna tersirat. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, diterapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis komik digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa serta peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa setelah penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) berbantuan komik digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan subjek 27 siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dari 81,81% pada Siklus I menjadi 88,63% pada Siklus II, dan 95,45% pada Siklus III. Aktivitas siswa juga meningkat dari 65,91% menjadi 86,36%, dan kemudian menjadi 93,18%. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan membaca pemahaman juga meningkat, yaitu dari rata-rata awal 68,37 dengan persentase ketuntasan 29,63%, menjadi 70,40 (44,44%) pada siklus I, 74,55 (70,37%) pada siklus II, dan 82,55 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 81,48% pada siklus III. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media komik digital terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V. ----- This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 3 Sindangkasih. This was evident when students had difficulty answering questions related to the content of the reading material, such as identifying the main ideas, summarizing the text, and understanding the implied meaning. To address this issue, a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model using digital comics was implemented. The objective of this study was to examine teacher and student activities, as well as improvements in students' reading comprehension skills following the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by digital comics. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in three cycles with 27 fifth-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed an increase in teacher activity from 81.81% in Cycle I to 88.63% in Cycle II, and 95.45% in Cycle III. Student activity also increased from 65.91% to 86.36%, and then to 93.18%. The average reading comprehension skill score also increased, from an initial average of 68.37 with a completion rate of 29.63%, to 70.40 (44.44%) in Cycle I, 74.55 (70.37%) in Cycle II, and 82.55 with a classical completion rate of 81.48% in Cycle III. Thus, the application of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by digital comic media has proven to improve the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students.
