Abstract
Dalam dunia telekomunikasi, perkembangan jaringan optik berkapasitas tinggi menjadi prioritas utama untuk peningkatan performansi sistem, salah satunya melalui implementasi sistem jaringan optik Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM). PT. Telkom telah menerapkan DWDM yang menghubungkan STO Purwakarta dan STO Cikampek menggunakan perangkat PSS 32 Nokia. Penelitian ini menganalisis kualitas jaringan fiber optik pada sistem DWDM dengan penguat optik single amplifier menggunakan konfigurasi 8 channel dengan rentang frequency dari 191.90 sampai 195.30 THz menggunakan frequency spacing 100 GHz. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode analisis eksperime melalui simulasi dan perhitungan parameter teknis untuk menilai performansi sistem, seperti power link budget, signal to noise ratio (SNR), dan bit error rate (BER). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai power link budget sebesar 15,688 dBm, rata-rata SNR setiap channel menghasilkan nilai 41 dB yang jauh diatas ambang batas minimum 21,5 dB. Sedangkan besaran BER berada pada rentang 10^(-9). Berdasarkan temuan ini, sistem DWDM pada perangkat PSS 32 Nokia dengan penguat EDFA dapat dinyatakan memenuhi standar kelayakan untuk sistem jaringan optik. ----- In the world of telecommunications, the development of high-capacity optical networks is a top priority for improving system performance, one of which is through the implementation of a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical network system. PT. Telkom has implemented DWDM connecting STO Purwakarta and STO Cikampek using Nokia PSS 32 devices. This study analyzes the quality of the optical fiber network in the DWDM system with a single optical amplifier using an 8-channel configuration with a frequency range of 191.90-195.30 THz and a frequency spacing of 100 GHz. This is a quantitative study employing experimental analysis through simulation and calculation of technical parameters to assess system performance, such as power link budget, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and bit error rate (BER). The research results show a power link budget value of 15.688 dBm, with an average SNR of 41 dB per channel, far exceeding the minimum threshold of 21.5 dB. The BER value is within the range of 10⁻⁹. Based on these findings, the DWDM system on the Nokia PSS 32 device with an EDFA amplifier can be deemed to meet the standards for optical network system reliability.
