    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berjudul “Manajemen Arsip Inaktif dalam Efektivitas Penyusutan Arsip di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengelolaan arsip inaktif dapat berkontribusi pada efektivitas proses penyusutan arsip di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teknik pengambilan data observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Proses pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan dukungan aplikasi NVIVO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pemindahan arsip inaktif sering kali terjadi kendala, terutama dalam hal penjadwalan, sumber daya kearsipan, dan kesadaran Unit Kerja. Sedangkan, efektivitas penyusutan arsip di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat sebagai Lembaga Kearsipan maupun Perangkat Daerah, telah sesuai dengan NSPK (Norma, Standar, Prosedur, dan Kriteria) yang berlaku. Dari dampak positif dan negatif manajemen arsip inaktif terhadap efektivitas penyusutan arsip dapat dilihat hubungan diantara keduanya. Dimana Manajemen arsip inaktif merupakan bagian integral dari sistem manajemen arsip secara keseluruhan, dan kualitas manajemen arsip inaktif dapat berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas penyusutan arsip. This study is entitled "Inactive Archives Management in the Effectiveness of Archives Reduction in the Regional Library and Archives Service of West Java Province". This study aims to explore how inactive archive management can contribute to the effectiveness of the archive reduction process at the West Java Provincial Library and Archives Service. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach using observation data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The research data processing process uses the support of the NVIVO application. The results of the study indicate that in the process of transferring inactive archives there are often obstacles, especially in terms of scheduling, archival resources, and awareness of the Work Unit. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of archive reduction in the Regional Library and Archives Service of West Java Province as an Archival Institution or Regional Apparatus, has been in accordance with the applicable NSPK (Norms, Standards, Procedures, and Criteria). From the positive and negative impacts of inactive archive management on the effectiveness of archive reduction, the relationship between the two can be seen. Where inactive archive management is an integral part of the overall archive management system, and the quality of inactive archive management can affect the effectiveness of archive reduction.
