Abstract

Pembelajaran IPS merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang harus dipamahami oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar. Salah satu materi dalam mata pelajaran IPS yaitu keberagaman budaya yang ada di lingkungkannya. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, pemahaman konsep tentang keberagaman budaya masih rendah karena tidak adanya penggunaan media yang tepat dalam pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media kereta budaya terhadap pemahaman konsep keberagaman budaya pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas IV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Quasi-Eksperimen, Quasi-Eksperimen dengan bentuk desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design yaitu eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok, pertama kelompok eksperimen dan kedua kelompok kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan data hasil pretest dan posttest. Selanjutnya menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil uji normalitas untuk data pretest data terdistribusi normal dan homogen sehingga dilakukan uji parametrik independent sample t-test, berfungsi untuk mengetahui kemampuan sebelum diberikan perlakuan. Uji Wilcoxon dilakukan untuk mengetahui posttest atau pengaruh media pembelajaran kereta budaya dalam kelas eksperimen, dari hasil uji tersebut menghasilkan sig 0,000<0,05, (Ha diterima) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran kereta budaya. Selanjutnya uji Mann Whitney untuk mengetahui perbandingan pemahaman konsep antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dari uji tersebut mengasilkan sig 0,00 < 0,05 (Ha diterima) penggunaan media media kereta budaya lebih baik dibandingkan dengan media konvensional. Serta dilakukan uji N-Gain score yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Social studies learning is one of the learning that must be understood by elementary school students. The researcher used the techniqueNon probability Samplingwith the saturated sampling method namely the entire class IV is used as a sample. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics which is used to describe the results of the data pretest and posttest. Next, use inferential statistical analysis to test the hypothesis. The results of the normality test for the datapretestThe data is normally distributed and homogeneous so that parametric tests are carried outindependent sample t-test, serves to know the ability before treatment is given. Test Wilcoxondone to find outposttestor the influence of cultural train learning media in the experimental class, from the test results it produces sig 0.000 <0.05, (Ha is accepted) there is an influence of the use of cultural train learning media. Furthermore, the testMann Whitneyto find out the comparison of conceptual understanding between the control class and the experimental class from the test, it resulted in a sig of 0.00 < 0.05 (Ha accepted) the use of cultural train media is better than conventional media. And a test was carried out N-Gain scorenamely to find out the increase in understanding of the concept.
