Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya temuan hambatan belajar peserta didik pada materi perkalian bilangan cacah. Temuan tersebut diperoleh melalui tes learning obstacle pada tahap studi pendahuluan dan diperkuat dengan data rendahnya kemampuan numerasi peserta didik di Indonesia. Hambatan belajar yang ditemukan meliputi hambatan epistemologis (epistemological obstacle) dan hambatan didaktik (didactical obstacle). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meminimalkan hambatan belajar (learning obstacle) tersebut sekaligus memfasilitasi kemampuan numerasi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Didactical Desain Research (DDR) yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni (1) analisis prospektif, yaitu perancangan desain didaktis termasuk HLT dan antisipasi didaktis pedagogis (ADP), (2) analisis metapedadidaktik, dan (3) analisis retrospektif, yaitu refleksi terhadap pelaksanaan desain didaktis dengan mengaitkan hasil analisis sebelumnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, angket dan instrumen validasi kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis yang dirancang mampu mengurangi hambatan belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik. Hal tersebut terlihat dari berkurangnya kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik selama implementasi desain didaktis berlangsung serta adanya respon positif yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil angket. Oleh karena itu, desain didaktis ini dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran pada materi perkalian bilangan cacah dan masih dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut melalui pengkajian yang lebih mendalam untuk mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran dan mengantisipasi hambatan belajar lainnya. This research was motivated by findings of learning obstacles faced by students in the topic of whole number multiplication. These findings were obtained through a learning obstacle test during the preliminary study phase and were reinforced by data indicating low numeracy skills among students in Indonesia. The identified learning obstacles include epistemological obstacles and didactical obstacles. Therefore, this study aims to minimize these learning obstacles while facilitating students' numeracy skills. The method used is Didactical Design Research (DDR), which consists of three stages: (1) prospective analysis, which involves designing a didactic plan including the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) and pedagogical didactic anticipation (ADP), (2) metapedadidactic analysis, and (3) retrospective analysis, which involves reflecting on the implementation of the didactic design by linking it to the results of previous analyses. Data were collected through tests, interviews, observations, document studies, questionnaires, and validation instruments, and then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The research results show that the designed didactic approach was able to reduce the learning obstacles experienced by students. This was evident from the reduced difficulties faced by students during the implementation of the didactic design and the positive responses shown through the questionnaire results. Therefore, this didactic design can serve as an alternative approach to teaching whole number multiplication and can be further developed through more in-depth studies to optimize the learning process and anticipate other learning obstacles
