Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam merasakan beat dan tempo. Hal tersebut tampak dari ketidaksesuaian peserta didik dalam melakukan gerak mengikuti irama musik yang sedang diputar atau dimainkan. Ketidakmampuhan peserta didiki ini menjadi hambatan dalam pembelajaran seni musik, khususnya dalam aspek ritmik yang menuntut sinkronisasi gerakan dengan ketukan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kepekaan ritmik peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh metode Dalcroze terhadap kepekaan beat dan tempo peserta didik, serta membandingkannya dengan metode pembelajaran konvensonal yang selama ini digunakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adlah kuasi-eksperimen dengan rancangan Nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian yag digunakan adalah dua rombel belajar kelas 1 di salah satu sekolah dasar yang terletak di Kecamatan Bungursari, Kota Tasikmalaya. Masing-masing rombel terdiri dari 30 peserta didik. Kepekaan beat dan tempo diukur melalui rubrik penilaian yang didasarkan pada indikator-indikator beat dan tempo pada kajian teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Dalcroze memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil uji-T dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Selain itu, peningkatan nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen dari pre-test ke post-test sebesar 0,4 juga memperkuat hasil tersebut. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Dalcroze efektif dalam meningkatkan kepekaan beat dan tempo peserta didik sekolah dasar. This research is motivated by the low ability of students to feel beat and tempo. This can be seen from the incompatibility of students in making movements following the rhythm of the music that is being played or played. The inability of these students to become an obstacle in learning musical arts, especially in the rhythmic aspect that requires the synchronization of movements with beats. Therefore, a learning method is needed that is able to increase the rhythmic sensitivity of students. This study aims to find out the extent of the influence of the Dalcroze method on students' beat and tempo sensitivity, and compare it with conventional learning methods that have been used so far. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a Nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects used were two 1st grade learning groups at an elementary school located in Bungursari District, Tasikmalaya City. Each group consists of 30 students. The sensitivity of beat and tempo was measured through an assessment rubric based on beat and tempo indicators in the theoretical study. The results of the study show that the Dalcroze method has a significant positive impact. This is proven by the results of the T-test with a significance of 0.000. In addition, the increase in the N-Gain value in the experimental class from pre-test to post-test by 0.4 also strengthened the result. Thus, it can be concluded that the Dalcroze method is effective in increasing the beat and tempo sensitivity of elementary school students.
