Abstract
This research aims to produce ESD-oriented e-modules on the topic of processing palm oil waste into alternative energy sources. The research method used is Design and Development Research (DDR) type one which focuses on product development through specific project phases which include analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages. This research was conducted in one of the high schools in Bandung City with participants of seven chemistry teachers at the needs analysis stage, nine students at the limited trial stage and three validators consisting of two expert lecturers and one chemistry teacher. The results showed that the developed e-module contains aspects of science literacy and ESD aspects, as well as e-module components which include introduction, material description, summary, exercises, evaluation, self-reflection and other complementary components. The validation results show that the developed e-modules fulfil the criteria for e-module feasibility with some suggestions for improvement from the validators. The results of the analysis of the learners' science literacy profile in general show the achievement of the competencies and aspects of science literacy contained in the e-module, so overall it is concluded that the developed e-module has the potential to train students’ science literacy.
