Abstract

Indonesia berada di wilayah Cincin Api Pasifik yang aktif secara tektonik sehingga memiliki risiko gempa bumi yang tinggi di berbagai daerah. Gempa merupakan bencana alam yang merusak dan terjadi secara tiba-tiba. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk memahami kesiapsiagaan guna mengurangi risiko bencana. Penelitian ini menggunakan model role play dengan berbantuan media kartu bergambar yang belum pernah diterapkan pada mata pelajaran IPAS di SDN Kunci 01. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran, efektivitas, serta pengaruh model tersebut dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan melalui literasi bencana. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2025 di kelas VA dan VB SDN Kunci 01, Kecamatan Sidareja, Kabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode eksperimen dengan design quasi experimental jenis nonequivalent control group design. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa model role play berbantuan media kartu bergambar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana di kelas V SDN Kunci 01. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 61.63 dan nilai posttest 85.53. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pretest kelas kontrol sebesar 59.42 dan nilai posttest 75.42. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh model role play berbantuan media kartu bergambar dalam kesiapsiagaan siswa terhadap literasi bencana. Rata-rata skor N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 63,5634 % dalam kategori “cukup efektif”. Rata-rata skor NGain pada kelas kontrol sebesar 40,1164 % dalam kategori “kurang efektif”. Indonesia is located in the tectonically active Pacific Ring of Fire region, thus having a high risk of earthquakes in various regions. Earthquakes are destructive natural disasters that occur suddenly. Therefore, it is important to understand preparedness to reduce disaster risks. This study uses a role play model with the help of picture cards that have never been applied in science subjects at SDN Kunci 01. The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes before and after learning, the effectiveness, and the influence of the model in improving preparedness through disaster literacy. The study was conducted in April 2025 in classes VA and VB SDN Kunci 01, Sidareja District, Cilacap Regency. This study used a quantitative approach, an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group design. Data were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest. The results of the study stated that the role play model assisted by picture card media had a significant effect on students' preparedness in facing disasters in class V of SDN Kunci 01. This was evidenced by the average pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class being higher than the average pretest and posttest scores of the control class. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 61.63 and the posttest score was 85.53. While the average pretest score of the control class was 59.42 and the posttest score was 75.42. Hypothesis testing showed that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted so that there was an effect of the role play model assisted by picture card media in increasing students' preparedness for disaster literacy. The average N-Gain score in the experimental class was 63.5634% in the "quite effective" category. The average N-Gain score in the control class was 40.1164% in the "less effective" category.
