Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah kemiskinan Provinsi Jawa Barat yang memiliki jumlah penduduk yang tergolong tinggi dibandingkan dengan provinsi lain. Dalam mengatasi masalah kemiskinan, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan bantuan sosial yang ditujukan kepada masyarakat miskin. Oleh karena itu,. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh belanja bantuan sosial terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksplanatori. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang bersumber dari dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Data yang digunakan merupakan data persentase penduduk miskin dan belanja bantuan sosial pada 27 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat tahun 2014 – 2023. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan model pengujian terpilih adalah Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Selama tahun 2014 – 2023, tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Jawa Barat mengalami penurunan, kecuali pada saat Covid-19. Disisi lain, belanja bantuan sosial menunjukkan tren peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Belanja Bantuan Sosial berpengaruh terhadap Kemiskinan di Kabupaten/Kota Provinsi Jawa Barat. The research is motivated by the poverty issue in West Java Province, which has a relatively high population compared to other provinces. To address this problem, the government has implemented social assistance spending targeted at low-income communities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of social assistance spending on poverty in West Java Province. The approach used in this study is quantitative with an explanatory method. The data collection technique is conducted through a literature study using secondary data sourced from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The data used includes the percentage of people living in poverty and the amount of social assistance spending in 27 regencies/cities in West Java Province from 2014 to 2023. The data analysis technique emplyed is panel data regression, with the selected model being the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). During the 2014 – 2023 periode, the poverty rate in West Java Province tended to decline, except during the Covid-19 pandemic. Oh the other hand, social assistance spending showed an increasing trend each year. The result of this study indicate that soscial assistance spending has a significant effect on poverty in the regencies/cities of West Java Province.
