Abstract
Berpikir kritis sangat dibutuhkan di kehidupan sehari-hari untuk berpikir secara sistematis, dengan begitu kita akan terbiasa untuk mengatasi masalah secara logis dan sistematis. Kemajuan kemampuan berpikir kritis seseorang dilihat dari menentukan penyelesaian setiap masalah dengan logis dan sistematis. Negara Indonesia berada di peringkat 41 dari 138 negara pada tahun 2016-2017, yang dikategorikan sebagai peringkat rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat diketahui berdasarkan hasil dari beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan di Kota Karawang, yang menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah: 1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning menggunakan media Augmented Rality tehadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa; 2) untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group desain. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran sesuai dengan sintaks pada masing-masing model pembelajaran untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan mengintegrasikan pada mata pelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang kubus dan balok. Sampel pada penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa kelas V salah satu sekolah dasar negeri yang ada di kabupaten Karawang sebanyak 46 siswa. Instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa digunakan dalam memperoleh data awal dan akhir pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model Problem Based Learning degan media Augmented Reality terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 40,5%, dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan data N-Gain P-value (Sig.) 2 Tailed < α = 0,05 maka data N-Gain terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan model Problem Based learning dengan media Augmented Reality direkomendasikan sebagai pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. ----- Critical thinking is essential in everyday life as it helps us think systematically, allowing us to become accustomed to solving problems logically and methodically. A person’s progress in critical thinking can be seen in how logically and systematically they resolve problems. Indonesia was ranked 41 out of 138 countries in 2016–2017, which is considered a low ranking. This low level of critical thinking ability is supported by several studies conducted in Karawang City, which found that students' average critical thinking skills remain low. This study aims to: (1) examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model using Augmented Reality (AR) media on students’ critical thinking skills; and (2) determine the improvement in students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the PBL model. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The learning process was carried out according to the syntax of each learning model, both in the experimental and control classes, and was integrated into a mathematics lesson on cube and cuboid (beam) shapes. The sample consisted of all 23 students from class VA. Data for the pre-test and post-test were collected using a critical thinking skills assessment. According to the data analysis, it was found that the Problem-Based Learning with Augmented Reality influenced students’ critical thinking skills by 40.5%. Additionally, the data showed a significant improvement in the critical thinking skills of students the experimental class, as indicated by N-Gain scores with a P-value (Sig. 2-tailed) < α = 0.05, which shows a statistically significant average difference. Therefore, the use of Problem Based learning model with Augmented Reality media is recommended as an effective approach in improving critical thinking skills of elementary school students.
