Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari oleh masih banyaknya siswa kelas II SD yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan, kesulitan ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik, sehingga siswa cenderung bosan dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Media ini terdiri dari tiga materi utama, yaitu suku kata (2 lapisan roda: abjad konsonan & vokal), kata berpola (2 lapisan roda), dan pola kalimat (4 lapisan roda: subjek, predikat, objek, keterangan). Media ini juga dilengkapi dengan fitur google formulir, di mana siswa dapat menuliskan kata yang mereka temukan dan hasilnya terekam secara langsung. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media roda baca digital mendapatkan skor 92% dari ahli media dan 81 % dari ahli materi, dengan rata-rata nilai 86,5% yang termasuk dalam kategori "sangat valid". Selain divalidasi oleh dosen ahli, media roda baca digital juga telah diuji kelayakannya oleh dua guru kelas II di dua sekolah dasar berbeda yang terletak di kabupaten Sumedang dan mendapat rata-rata skor sebesar 93,2%. Uji coba terbatas di dua sekolah dasar menunjukkan bahwa media ini memperoleh tingkat keberterimaan sebesar 74,5% di Sekolah Adan 73, 7% di Sekolah B, yang menunjukkan bahwa media ini menarik, mudah digunakan, dan membantu dalam memahami konsep membaca permulaan. Dengan demikian, media roda baca digital dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran membaca permulaan dan dapat menjadi altematif dalam mendukung pembelajaran literasi dasar di sekolah dasar. This is based on the fact that many second-grade elementary school students still have difficulty in reading the beginning, this difficulty is caused by the lack of interactive and interesting learning media, so that students tend to get bored in the learning process. This study uses a development research method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This media consists of three main materials, namely syllables (2 layers of wheels: consonant & vowel alphabets), patterned words (2 layers ofwheels), and sentence patterns (4 layers ofwheels: subject, predicate, object, description). This media is also equipped with a googleformfeature, where students can write down the words theyfind and the results are recorded directly. The validation results show that the digital reading wheel media gets a score of 92% from media experts and 81 % from material experts, with an average value of 86.5% which is included in the "very valid" category. In addition to being validated by expert lecturers, the digital reading wheel media has also been testedfor its feasibility by two second-grade teachers in two different elementary schools located in Sumedang district and received an average score of 93.2%. Limited trials in two elementary schools showed that this media obtained an acceptance rate of 74. 5% in School A and 73. 7% in School B, indicating that this media is interesting, easy to use, and helps in understanding the concept of early reading. Thus, the digital reading wheel media is declared feasible to be used as a learning medium for early reading and can be an alternative in supporting basic literacy learning in elementary schools.
