Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran panti asuhan dalam memberikan pendidikan seksual kepada anak usia dini, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan strategi yang diterapkan dalam proses tersebut. Studi ini dilakukan di dua panti asuhan di Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa panti asuhan memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing anak memahami tubuh, privasi, dan perlindungan diri. Namun, masih terdapat tantangan berupa keterbatasan pemahaman pengasuh, minimnya pelatihan, serta tidak tersedianya modul pendidikan seksual yang sistematis. Adapun strategi yang dilakukan meliputi komunikasi empatik, pembiasaan perilaku sopan, pemberian contoh langsung, serta kolaborasi dengan pihak luar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kapasitas pengasuh melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan dan penyusunan modul pendidikan seksual yang sesuai dengan konteks sosial budaya anak di panti asuhan. ----- This study aims to describe and analyze the role of orphanages in providing sexuality education to early childhood, as well as to identify the challenges and strategies applied in the process. The research was conducted in two orphanages located in Purwakarta Regency using a qualitative approach and case study design. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that orphanages play an essential role in guiding children to understand their bodies, privacy, and self-protection. However, there are still challenges, such as limited caregiver understanding, lack of training, and the absence of a systematic sexuality education module. The strategies implemented include empathetic communication, habituation of respectful behavior, direct modeling, and collaboration with external parties. This study recommends strengthening caregiver capacity through continuous training and the development of child-friendly sexuality education modules adapted to the socio-cultural context of the orphanage.
