    Abstract

    Satuan Pelayanan Taman Pesisir Penyu Pantai Pangumbahan (SPTP4) merupakan salah satu pantai yang menjadi tempat mendaratnya penyu hijau (Chelonia mydas). Meskipun SPTP4 telah mengembangkan sarang semi alami untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan penetasan telur penyu, tantangan seperti curah hujan yang tinggi dapat menyebabkan sarang lembab dan kegagalan penetasan masih menjadi isu krusial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi parameter lingkungan yang mempengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan penetasan telur penyu hijau di Pantai Pangumbahan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis data Komponen Utama (PCA). Penelitian ini, menganalisis hubungan parameter lingkungan dengan daya tetas. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata suhu sarang 30,50ºC, rata-rata kelembapan 33% dan rata-rata pH 7,91 dan modulus kehalusan pasir sebesar 2,40 dapat dikategorikan pasir halus merupakan kondisi parameter lingkungan dari empat sarang yang diamati. Parameter kelembapan dan pH secara signifikan memengaruhi keberhasilan penetasan. Sebanyak 255 butir telur yang direlokasi dari dua indukan yang berbeda, sejumlah 240 butir berhasil menetas dengan tingkat keberhasilan rata-rata 95%. Sisanya gagal menetas dengan ditemukannya 9 butir undeveloped, 5 butir unhatched term dan 1 butir telur busuk. Lama inkubasi telur berkisar 52-53 hari. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan informasi penting untuk optimalisasi kondisi sarang semi alami guna mendukung upaya konservasi penyu hijau di SPTP4. The Pangumbahan Beach Turtle Coastal Park Service Unit (SPTP4) is one of the beaches where green turtles (Chelonia mydas) land. Although SPTP4 has developed semi-natural nests to improve the hatching success of turtle eggs, challenges such as high rainfall can lead to moist nests and hatching failure are still a crucial issue. This study aims to identify the environmental parameters that affect the success rate of green turtle egg hatching at Pangumbahan Beach by using quantitative descriptive methods and Main Component (PCA) data analysis. This study analyzes the relationship between environmental parameters and hatchability. The results of this study show that the average temperature of the nest is 30.50ºC, the average humidity is 33% and the average pH is 7.91 and the modulus of sand fineness of 2.40 can be categorized as fine sand is the environmental parameter condition of the four nests observed. Humidity and pH parameters significantly affect the success of hatching. A total of 255 eggs were relocated from two different broodstocks, a total of 240 eggs successfully hatched with an average success rate of 95%. The rest failed to hatch with the discovery of 9 undeveloped eggs, 5 unhatched term eggs and 1 rotten egg. The incubation time of eggs ranges from 52-53 days. The results of this study provide important information for optimizing semi-natural nest conditions to support green turtle conservation efforts in SPTP4.
