Abstract

Pendidikan abad ke-21 menekankan pentingnya penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebagai bagian dari kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Namun, pada kenyataannya, keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa di sekolah dasar masih tergolong rendah karena belum ditangani secara optimal oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe gallery walk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui penerapan model gallery walk pada pembelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 24 siswa kelas VB sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 24 siswa kelas VC sebagai kelompok kontrol di SDN 002 Karang Mulya, Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di kelas eksperimen dari skor rata-rata 41,92 menjadi 74,42, sedangkan di kelas kontrol dari 39,75 menjadi 61,04. Model gallery walk memberikan pengaruh sebesar 48% terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe gallery walk efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah dasar. ----- Twenty-first century education emphasizes the importance of mastering creative thinking skills as part of higher-order thinking abilities. However, in practice, elementary school students' creative thinking skills remain relatively low due to a lack of optimal handling by teachers during the learning process. One effort to improve this skill is by implementing the cooperative learning model of the gallery walk type. This study aims to determine the effect and improvement of students’ creative thinking skills through the implementation of the gallery walk model in science learning. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 24 fifth-grade students from class VB as the experimental group and 24 students from class VC as the control group at SDN 002 Karang Mulya, Bandung. Data collection techniques included pre-tests, post-tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in the creative thinking ability of students in the experimental class, from an average score of 41.92 to 74.42, while the control class improved from 39.75 to 61.04. The gallery walk model contributed 48% to students’ creative thinking skills. It can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the gallery walk type is effective in enhancing elementary school students’ creative thinking abilities.
