    Abstract

    Media papan pecahan diyakini dapat menunjang peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematika. Siswa memerlukan media pembelajaran untuk membantu dalam belajar dan memahami konsep pecahan, namun pada kenyataannya guru belum sepenuhnya mengimplementasikan penggunaan media, hal tersebut dikarenakan pembuatan media membutuhkan waktu cukup lama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas media papan pecahan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep bilangan pecahan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Kajoran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimental dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan media papan pecahan dilakukan dalam 3 pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa tes soal uraian. Data dari penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui tes, kemudian data dianalisis dengan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis (Independent sample t-test) dan N-Gain dengan melibatkan penggunaan program IBM SPSS Statistics 25 dan Microsoft Office Excel 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media papan pecahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa dan efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran pecahan yang dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata posttest di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata N-Gain 80,36%, sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada kelas kontrol sebesar 44,9%. Fraction board media is believed to support increased mathematical understanding abilities. Students need learning media to help them learn and understand the concept of fractions, but in reality teachers have not fully implemented the use of media, this is because making media takes quite a long time. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the fraction board media in increasing understanding of the concept of fractions before and after using the media. This research was carried out at Kajoran State Elementary School. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Mathematics learning using fraction board media was carried out in 3 meetings. The instrument used in this research was a descriptive question test. Data from this research was collected through tests, then the data was analyzed using prerequisite tests in the form of normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test (Independent sample t-test) and N-Gain involving the use of the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 and Microsoft Office Excel 2019 programs. Research results shows that fraction board media can improve students' understanding abilities and is effectively used in learning fractions as evidenced by the average posttest scores obtained in the experimental and control classes. In the experimental class the average value of N-Gain was 80.36%, while the average value in the control class was 44.9%.
