    Abstract

    Pesatnya pertumbuhan penggunaan internet saat ini mendorong peningkatan kebutuhan akan konektivitas data yang cepat dan stabil. Dalam jaringan telekomunikasi, Fiber to the Tower (FTTT) digunakan sebagai salah satu pendekatan untuk mengurangi keterbatasan pada sistem transmisi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi serat optik. Penelitian ini mengusulkan metode pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif menganalisis performansi jaringan FTTT di daerah Kabupaten Garut, dengan fokus pada pengukuran parameter teknis seperti Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, dan Bit Error Rate (BER). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa nilai Power Link Budget hasil pengukuran lapangan adalah -9,33 dBm, simulasi menghasilkan -9,68 dBm, dan perhitungan teoritis menunjukkan -9,65 dBm berada di atas batas minimum daya penerimaan standar ITU-T G.652 sebesar -28 dBm. Nilai Rise Time Budget yang diperoleh dari perhitungan teoritis adalah 0,42929 ns, lebih kecil dari batas maksimum yang diizinkan sebesar 7 ns untuk sistem dengan bit rate 10 Gbps. Nilai Bit Error Rate (BER) berdasarkan simulasi adalah 1,93986×10-24, yang berada jauh di bawah toleransi standar 10-9. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jaringan FTTT di Kabupaten Garut mendukung pengembangan jaringan masa depan. ----- The rapid growth of internet usage today drives an increasing demand for fast and stable data connectivity. In telecommunications networks, Fiber to the Tower (FTTT) is used as one of the approaches to overcome limitations in transmission systems by utilizing optical fiber technology. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach to analyze the performance of the FTTT network in the Garut Regency area, focusing on the measurement of technical parameters such as Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, and Bit Error Rate (BER). The measurement results show that the field-measured Power Link Budget value is -9.33 dBm, the simulation yields -9.68 dBm, and the theoretical calculation results in -9.65 dBm—all of which are above the ITU-T G.652 standard minimum receiver power threshold of -28 dBm. The Rise Time Budget obtained from theoretical calculation is 0.42929 ns, which is well below the maximum allowed limit of 7 ns for a 10 Gbps system. The Bit Error Rate (BER) value based on simulation is 1,93986×10-24, significantly lower than the standard tolerance of 10⁻⁹. These results indicate that the FTTT network in Garut Regency supports future network development.
