    Abstract

    Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus merupakan salah satu penyakit yang banyak diderita oleh masyarakat di Indonesia. Salah satu komplikasi yang ditimbulkan akibat diabetes melitus yang tidak terkontrol adalah luka pada kaki (ulkus diabeticum) yang jika sudah pada grade parah dapat berisiko tinggi untuk dilakukan amputasi. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompres povidone iodine (PVI) dan Wet-to-Dry Dressing terhadap luka ulkus diabeticum. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan laporan kasus dengan pendekatan evidence based practice nursing (EBN). Hasil: Penerapan wet-to-dry dressing menggunakan kompres PVI pada pasien Tn. P dilakukan selama 4 hari (26-31 September 2024) yang mana pada hari terakhir sudah diperbolehkan untuk pulang. Kemudian peneliti memonitor kondisi pasien pada 5 Oktober 2024 yang memiliki keluhan demam dengan suhu 38.30C. Kemudian pada 12 Oktober 2024 pasien kembali ke rumah sakit dengan keluhan merasa keadaan luka semakin memburuk, hingga pada 15 Oktober 2024 pasien melakukan tindakan operatif amputasi dan peneliti memonitor hingga keesokan harinya. Selanjutnya pada 17 Oktober 2024, pasien sudah diperbolehkan pulang oleh dokter penanggung jawab pasien (DPJP). Kesimpulan: Penerapan Wet-to-Dry Dressing dan kompres PVI pada pasien Tn. P tidak memberikan pengaruh yang baik Background: Diabetes mellitus is a disease that is suffered by many people in Indonesia. One of the complications of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus is diabetic foot and if it experiences a severe grade, it has a high risk of amputation. Objectives: To knowing about the effect of povidone iodine compresses and wet-to-dry dressings on the healing of diabetic ulcer wounds. Methods: This research is a case report with a nursing care approach that applies evidence-based practice nursing (EBN). Results: The application of wet-to-dry dressing using PVI compresses on patient Mr. P was carried out for 4 days (September 26th-31st 2024) where on the last day he was allowed to go home. Then the researcher monitored his health condition on October 5, 2024. The patient complained of fever and chills with a temperature of 38.30C. On October 12, 2024 the patient returned to the hospital with complaints that the wound was getting worse, until on October 15, 2024 the patient underwent above-knee amputation surgery and was under postoperative monitoring until the next day. On October 17, 2024, the patient was allowed to go home by the patient's doctor (DPJP). Conclusion: The application of wet-to-dry dressing and PVI compresses on patient Mr. P did not provide a good effect
