Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh trust dan regulasi emosi terhadap konflik interpersonal pada dewasa awal yang menjalani long distance relationship. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 364 responden dengan usia 18-25 tahun yang sedang menjalani long distance relationship. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Trust Scale dari Rempel, Homles & Zanna (1985) untuk mengukur trust, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) dari Gross & John (2003) untuk mengukur regulasi emosi, dan Skala Konflik Interpersonal dari Putri (2021) untuk mengukur Konflik Interpersonal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear sederhana dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) trust memiliki pengaruh terhadap konflik interpersonal pada dewasa awal yang menjalani long distance relationship; (2) regulasi emosi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap konflik interpersonal pada dewasa awal yang menjalani long distance relationship; (3) trust dan regulasi emosi memiliki pengaruh terhadap konflik interpersonal pada dewasa awal yang menjalani long distance relationship. This study aims to examine the influence of trust and emotion regulation on interpersonal conflict among emerging adults in long distance relationships. A quantitative approach was employed in this research. The sample consisted of 364 respondents aged 18–25 years who were currently engaged in a long distance relationship. The instruments used in this study included the Trust Scale by Rempel, Holmes & Zanna (1985) to measure trust, the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) by Gross & John (2003) to measure emotion regulation, and the Interpersonal Conflict Scale by Putri (2021) to measure interpersonal conflict. Data analysis techniques used in this study were simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results showed that (1) Trust has an influence on Interpersonal Conflict among emerging adults in long distance relationships; (2) Emotion Regulation has no influence on Interpersonal Conflict among emerging adults in long distance relationships; and (3) Trust and Emotion Regulation have an influence on Interpersonal Conflict among emerging adults in long distance relationships.
