Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil observasi di lapangan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika khususnya materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan bulat, penyampaian materi oleh guru masih monoton. Pembelajaran yang berlangsung tidak memotivasi siswa untuk belajar dengan baik. Hal ini menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa masih jauh dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) pada mata pelajaran matematika. Kondisi tersebut dapat diatasi dengan dilakukannya penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan bulat di kelas IV B SDN Ciburial Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang penerapan model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) yang meliputi: pelaksanaan dan proses pembelajaran matematika dengan penerapan model Numbered Heads Together (NHT), peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa, serta peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan bulat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yaitu pada siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 71,15 dan siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 89,42. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I sebanyak 69,23% dan pada siklus II sebanyak 92,30%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yakni penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada pembelajaran Matematika terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV B di SDN Ciburial Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The learning does not motivate students to learn well. It makes student’s learning output below the minimum completeness in Mathematic learning. This condition can be overcome by doing the “Classroom Action Research” by applying the Cooperative Learning Model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to increase student’s motivation and learning output in Mathematic Learning material of mix integer arithmetic operation at IV B Class Ciburial Elementary School Lembang. The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of applying Cooperative Learning Model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) which includes: implementation and Mathematic learning process by applying Cooperative Learning Model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT), increasing student’s motivation, also increasing student’s learning output of Mathematic learning material of mix integer arithmetic operation. The result of this research showed that the application of Cooperative Learning Model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) could increase student’s motivation and learning output. This is evidenced by the increase in the student’s learning output in cycle 1 with an average student’s value is 71,15 and in cycle 2 is 89,42. Fulfillness learning of students in cycle 1 as much as 69,25% and cycle 2 as much as 92,30%. The conclusion of this research is the application of Cooperative Learning Model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) could increase student’s motivation and learning output in Mathematic learning material of mix integer arithmetic operation at IV B Class Ciburial Elementary School Lembang.
