Abstract

Kepemimpinan transformasional merupakan salah satu model kepemimpinan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Kepala sekolah yang mengadopsi model kepemimpinan ini memiliki kemampuan untuk menginspirasi guru dan siswa serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Penelitian ini mengambil lokasi penelitian di SMAN 1 Bireuen, SMAN 2 Peusangan dan SMAN 1 Gandapura. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 98 yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan model kepemimpinan transformasional pada masing-masing sekolah berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Untuk SMAN 1 Bireuen, dimensi Inspirational Motivation (Motivasi Inspirasi) dan Intellectual Stimulation (Stimulasi Intelektual) merupakan aspek yang paling unggul. Pada SMAN 2 Peusangan, dimensi yang menonjol adalah Idealized Influence (Pengaruh Ideal). Adapun SMAN 1 Gandapura mengungguli SMAN lainnya dalam dimensi Individual Consideration (Pertimbangan Individual). Selanjutnya hasil uji path analisis diperoleh korelasi sebesar 0,793, 0,586, 0,726, pada tingkat signifikansi atau sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < α = 0,05 yang bermakna bahwa terdapat korelasi atau hubungan yang signifikan antara model kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah SMAN di Kabupaten Bireuan terhadap mutu lulusan siswa dan profesionalisme guru. Hasil sobel test didapatkan nilai P-Value sebesar 0.007 < 0.05 nilai test statistic sobel test sebesar 39.220 sehingga profesionalisme guru mampu memediasikan model kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan mutu lulusan di SMA Negeri Bireuen provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada kepala sekolah untuk melakukan eksplorasi model kepemimpinan transformasional guna meningkatkan mutu lulusan sekolah dan profesionalisme guru. Selain itu, guru juga dapat memperhatikan hal-hal untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Pihak dinas pendidikan dapat memberikan intervensi kebijakan peningkatan kualitas SDM kepala sekolah dan guru melalui sejumlah program diantaranya berupa workshop, training, dan MGMP. Transformational leadership is one of the effective leadership models in improving the quality of education. Principals who adopt this leadership model have the ability to inspire teachers and students and create a conducive learning environment. This study took the research location at SMAN 1 Bireuen, SMAN 2 Peusangan and SMAN 1 Gandapura. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The number of samples used was 98 consisting of principals and teachers. The results of this study indicate that the transformational leadership model in each school is in the very high category. For SMAN 1 Bireuen, the dimensions of Inspirational Motivation and Intellectual Stimulation are the most superior aspects. At SMAN 2 Peusangan, the prominent dimension is Idealized Influence. Meanwhile, SMAN 1 Gandapura outperforms other SMANs in the Individual Consideration dimension. Furthermore, the results of the path analysis test obtained a correlation of 0.793, 0.586, 0.726, at the significance level or sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. With a significance value of 0.000 <α = 0.05, which means that there is a significant correlation or relationship between the transformational leadership model of SMAN principals in Bireuan Regency on the quality of student graduates and teacher professionalism. The results of the Sobel test obtained a P Value of 0.007 <0.05, the Sobel test statistic value was 39,220 so that teacher professionalism was able to mediate the transformational leadership model of the principal on improving the quality of graduates at SMA Negeri Bireuen, Aceh Province. This study provides recommendations to principals to explore the transformational leadership model in order to improve the quality of school graduates and teacher professionalism. In addition, teachers can also pay attention to things to improve their performance. The education office can provide policy interventions to improve the quality of human resources for principals and teachers through a number of programs including workshops, training, and MGMP.
