Abstract

Pentingnya aspek kreativitas pada siswa dikembangkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran tematik terpadu di sekolah dasar. Saat ini sekolah masih berorientasi pada pengembangan intelegensi siswa saja, belum pada pengembangan kreativitas siswanya, sedangkan keduanya sama penting dalam mencapai keberhasilan belajar yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model experiential learning terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu di kelas IV SDPN Setiabudi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan menggunakan desain penelitian control group pre-test and post-test. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan kreativitas berpikir siswa pada aspek fluency, flexibility, dan elaboration. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV (empat) SDPN Setiabudi Bandung dengan jumlah populasi 102 siswa dengan sampel penelitian menggunkan teknik cluster sampling, siswa kelas IV-A sebanyak 34 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV-B sebanyak 32 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan pengujian Uji-t independen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh secara umum dapat disimpukan bahwa penggunaan model experiential learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu di kelas IV SDPN Setiabudi Bandung. Secara khusus dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) penggunaan model experiential learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada aspek fluency, (2) penggunaan model experiential learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada aspek flexibility, (3) penggunaan model experiential learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada aspek elaboration. Kata Kunci : Model Experiential Learning, Kreativitas, Pembelajaran Tematik Terpadu The importance of student’s creativity is developed in integrated thematic learning activity in elementary school. Currently the school is still oriented towards the development of student’s intelligence, yet on the development of student’s creativity, while both are equally important in achieving meaningful learning success. This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of the use of experiential learning models to increase student's creativity in an integrated thematic learning in class IV SDPN Setiabudi. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods and research design control group pre-test and post-test. The research instrument is test descriptions to measure student’s ability of creative thinking on fluency, flexibility, and elaboration aspects. Population in this study were students of class IV (four) SDPN Setiabudi Bandung with a population of 102 students and the sample is using cluster sampling technique, 34 fourth-grade students in Class A as experimental class and 32 fourth-grade students in Class B as a class control. Hypothesis testing is done by using an independent t-test. Based on the results obtained can generally be concluded that the use of experiential learning models have a significant effect on the improvement of student's creativity in an integrated thematic learning in fourth-grade SDPN Setiabudi Bandung. Particularly it can be concluded that: (1) the use of experiential learning models significantly influence the development of the student’s creativity on fluency aspect, (2) the use of experiential learning models significantly influence the development of student’s creativity on flexibility aspect, (3) the use of experiential learning models significantly influence the development of student’s creativity on elaboration aspect.
