Abstract

Kebutuhan pangan merupakan kebutuhan pokok manusia yang harus tersedia baik secara kuantitas, kualitas, dan daya beli masyarakat. Namun, pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan memiliki tantangan akibat prosesnya bergantung pada faktor alam. Faktor alam menjadi penghambat seperti anomali iklim yang mempengaruhi pertanian. Kabupaten Sukoharjo memiliki fokus lahan pertanian tanaman pangan mengalami fluktuasi produksi padi beberapa tahun terakhir yang dipengaruhi fenomena anomali iklim serta konversi lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan luasan lahan pertanian, menganalisis pola sebaran dan tingkat kekeringan lahan pertanian di Kabupaten Sukoharjo menggunakan citra Landsat multitemporal 2019-2023 dengan indeks Temperature Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) berdasarkan hubungan antara indeks vegetasi (NDVI) dan suhu permukaan lahan (LST). Selain itu penelitian ini mengkaji perilaku petani untuk adaptasi kekeringan yang di terapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa luas lahan pertanian mengalami penurunan dari 2019 hingga 2023 akibat alih fungsi lahan. Sebaran kekeringan berdasarkan pengolahan TVDI bervariasi setiap bulan tetapi mayoritas acak, dengan intensitas kekeringan meningkat dari Juni hingga Agustus. Kecamatan Weru, Sukoharjo, Bulu, Tawangsari, dan Nguter adalah wilayah yang sering mengalami kekeringan berdasarkan hasil TVDI dari bulan Juni hingga Agustus. Rata-rata curah hujan bulanan ada trend menurun dari Juni hingga Agustus, kerapatan vegetasi mayoritas jarang, dan suhu permukaan lahan yang ikut meningkat. Perilaku petani dalam adaptasi kekeringan tergolong adaptif, dengan mayoritas petani melakukan perubahan, seperti mengganti varietas tanaman agar tetap produktif selama kekeringan. Food security is a fundamental human need that must be available in quantity, quality, and affordability. However, fulfilling food needs faces challenges due to its dependency on natural factors. Environmental conditions often become obstacles, particularly climate anomalies that significantly affect agriculture. Sukoharjo Regency, which focuses on food crop agriculture, has experienced fluctuations in rice production over recent years, influenced by climate anomalies and land use conversion. This study aims to analyze the changes in agricultural land area, examine the spatial distribution and severity of agricultural drought in Sukoharjo Regency using multitemporal Landsat imagery from 2019 to 2023, and apply the Temperature Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) based on the correlation between the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Land Surface Temperature (LST). The results show that agricultural land area has decreased from 2019 to 2023 due to land conversion. The spatial distribution of drought based on TVDI varies monthly but is mostly random, with drought intensity increasing from June to August. Weru, Sukoharjo, Bulu, Tawangsari, and Nguter sub-districts are areas most frequently affected by drought based on TVDI data from June to August over the five years. Monthly average rainfall shows a declining trend from June to August, contributing to increased drought intensity, sparse vegetation cover—particularly in August—and rising land surface temperatures. Farmers' adaptive behavior during droughts is considered responsive, with most farmers altering their practices during the dry season, such as switching crop varieties to maintain productivity under drought conditions.
