Abstract
Kecamatan Cicendo memiliki jumlah penduduk sebanyak 97.272 jiwa di area seluas 6,88 km² dan menghadapi tantangan kompleks terkait dinamika kependudukan dan kriminalitas. Pada tahun 2024, tercatat 199 kasus kriminalitas di wilayah ini, yang menunjukkan perlunya kajian mendalam untuk memahami pola dan akar permasalahan yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara kondisi kependudukan dan pola persebaran kriminalitas di Kecamatan Cicendo pada tahun 2024 serta menguji pengaruh keduanya. Penelitian ini penting untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kriminalitas, yang dapat digunakan untuk merumuskan kebijakan yang lebih efektif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data numerik, termasuk jumlah kasus kriminalitas, kepadatan penduduk, serta data demografis. Analisis Nearest Neighbor diterapkan untuk Weighted Regression (GWR) digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan penduduk memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap persebaran kriminalitas. Pengaruh tersebut bervariasi di setiap kelurahan. Sebaliknya, migrasi, kelahiran, dan kematian berpengaruh negatif terhadap kriminalitas, namun pengaruhnya bervariasi secara geografis. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pendekatan berbasis lokasi dalam kebijakan penanggulangan kriminalitas, yang harus mempertimbangkan kondisi kependudukan yang berbeda di setiap kelurahan. Upaya komprehensif dan kolaboratif antara pemerintah, kepolisian, dan masyarakat diperlukan untuk mengurangi angka kriminalitas secara efektif di Kecamatan Cicendo. Kecamatan Cicendo has a population of 97,272 in an area of 6.88 km² and faces complex challenges related to population dynamics and crime. In 2024, 199 crime cases were recorded in this area, which shows the need for in-depth studies to understand the patterns and roots of existing problems. This study aims to analyze the relationship between population conditions and the distribution pattern of crime in Cicendo Sub-district in 2024 and examine the influence of both. This research is important to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence crime, which can be used to formulate more effective policies. Quantitative methods were used to analyze numerical data, including the number of crime cases, population density, and demographic data. Nearest Neighbor analysis was applied to identify spatial patterns of crime distribution, while Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) was used to test for influence. The results showed that population density has a significant positive influence on crime distribution. The effect varies in each neighborhood. In contrast, migration, births, and deaths have a negative effect on crime, but the effect varies geographically. These findings indicate the importance of a location-based approach in crime reduction policies, which should consider the different population conditions in each neighborhood. Comprehensive and collaborative efforts between government, police, and communities are needed to effectively reduce crime in Cicendo Sub-district.
