Abstract
Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan fleksibilitas,kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak. Keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum ini sangat bergantung pada persepsi guru, yang dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman, pengalaman, dan kesiapan mereka dalam mengadaptasi pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman sembilan guru PAUD diKecamatan Petir, Kabupaten Serang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas guru memiliki pandangan positif terhadap fleksibilitas kurikulum merdeka, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam pemahaman konsep, penyediaan sumber daya, serta resistensi dari orang tua. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan untuk guru dalam penerapan kurikulum baru dan pergeseran peran guru sebagai fasilitator eksplorasi anak. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya kebijakan adaptif dalam mendukung transisi kurikulum dan pengembangan strategi berbasis pengalaman guru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di PAUD The implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Early Childhood Education (ECED) aims to increase children's flexibility, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The successful implementation of this curriculum relies heavily on teachers' perceptions, which are influenced by their understanding, experience, and readiness to adapt learning approaches. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore the experiences of nine early childhood education teachers in Petir sub-district, Serang district. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, which were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results showed that the majority of teachers have a positive view of the flexibility of the independent curriculum, but face challenges in understanding the concept, providing resources, and resistance from parents. This study emphasizes the importance of training for teachers in implementing the new curriculum and shifting the role of teachers as facilitators of children's exploration. The implications of this study suggest the need for adaptive policies to support curriculum transition and the development of teacher experience-based strategies to improve learning effectiveness in ECD.
