Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan didasari oleh masalah pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar yang mengalami kendala dalam menyampaikan konsep abstrak seperti bangun ruang, sehingga memerlukan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi aplikasi MALABARU sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi bangun ruang di kelas V menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model ADDIE. Adapun hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, yakni: 1) Tahap Analisis mengidentifikasi kebutuhan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep abstrak dalam matematika, 2) Tahapan Desain menghasilkan rancangan aplikasi dengan fitur utama materi penjelasan, video pembelajaran, dan permainan edukasi yang dirancang sesuai karakteristik siswa, 3) Tahapan Pengembangan memproduksi aplikasi MALABARU menggunakan Smart Apps Creator, yang telah divalidasi oleh dua ahli materi, tiga ahli media, dan tiga ahli bahasa, dengan hasil validasi pada aspek suitability dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase kelayakan materi sebesar 100%, kelayakan bahasa sebesar 97%, serta kelayakan media sebesar 95%, 4) Tahapan Implementasi menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa dengan rata-rata nilai pretest 40,64 menjadi 79,21 pada posttest, serta efektivitas N-gain sebesar 0,63 berada dalam kategori sedang, dengan persentase peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 62,7%, 5) Tahapan Evaluasi menunjukkan respons siswa sangat positif, dengan skor rata-rata 85,45% pada aspek motivasi, desain visual, dan kemudahan penggunaan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, aplikasi MALABARU layak menjadi media pembelajaran materi bangun ruang di kelas V.

The development research conducted was based on the problem of mathematics learning in elementary schools that experienced obstacles in conveying abstract concepts such as spatial shapes, so that technology-based learning media were needed to improve students' understanding. This study aims to develop and evaluate the MALABARU application as a learning media for spatial shapes in grade V using the Research and Development (RnD) method with the ADDIE model. The results of the research conducted are: 1) The Analysis Stage identifies the need for interactive learning media to help students understand abstract concepts in mathematics, 2) The Design Stage produces an application design with the main features of explanatory materials, learning videos, and educational games designed according to student characteristics, 3) The Development Stage produces the MALABARU application using Smart Apps Creator, which has been validated by two material experts, three media experts, and three language experts, with validation results on the suitability aspect in the very good category with a percentage of material suitability of 100%, language suitability of 97%, and media suitability of 95%, 4) The Implementation Stage produces a significant increase in student understanding with an average pretest score of 40.64 to 79.21 on the posttest, and the effectiveness of N-gain of 0.63 is in the moderate category, with a percentage increase in understanding of 62.7%, 5) The Evaluation Stage shows that student responses are very positive, with an average score of 85.45% on the aspects of motivation, visual design, and ease of use. Based on these results, the MALABARU application is worthy of being a learning medium for spatial geometry material in class V.
