    Abstract

Dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling, sebanyak 316 partisipan diteliti melalui instrumen Children’s Perception of the Interparental Conflict Properties Scale (CPIC-properties), General Attitudes Towards Marriage Scale (GAMS), dan Differentiation of Self Inventory-Short Form (DSI-SF).

This study examines the influence of perceived interparental conflict on attitudes toward marriage, with differentiation of self as a moderating variable among firstborn daughters aged 18–25 years. Using a non-probability sampling technique, a total of 316 participants were surveyed through the Children’s Perception of Interparental Conflict Properties Scale (CPIC-properties), the General Attitudes Toward Marriage Scale (GAMS), and the Differentiation of Self Inventory-Short Form (DSI-SF). The results of the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) indicated that differentiation of self does not moderate this relationship. However, findings from a simple linear regression analysis showed that both perceived interparental conflict and differentiation of self are significant predictors of attitudes toward marriage. These results highlight that both family experiences and individual internal capacities play an important role in shaping a person’s attitudes toward marriage.
