Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar ketertarikan peneliti terhadap home industry konveksi di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya Kabupaten Bandung. Permasalahan pokok yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana home industry konveksi di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya masih eksis dan bertahan dari tahun 1985-2023. Home industry konveksi merupakan jenis usaha menengah ke bawah dengan fokus pada bidang kain, proses produksi dengan menggunakan bahan sisa “pembuangan” pabrik mengharuskan para pengusahanya memiliki jiwa kreativitas yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana awal berdirinya home industry konveksi di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya, upaya yang dilakukan oleh pengusaha dalam mengembangkan home industry konveksi dan dampaknya terhadap sosial ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis, meliputi heusristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Adapun teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa berdirinya home industry konveksi di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya dipengaruhi oleh jiwa kreativitas yang didukung dengan keterampilan dan pengalaman sebagai buruh harian lepas di pabrik tekstil Majalaya. H. Ade merupakan orang yang pertama memprakarsai home industry konveksi di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya pada tahun 1985 dengan celana dalam sebagai produk andalannya. Kreativitas dan inovasi terus dilakukan oleh para pengusaha untuk mengembangkan dan mempertahankan usahanya. Berkembangnya home industry konveksi memberikan kontribusi dalam terciptanya lapangan pekerjaan sebagai sumber mata pencaharian dan berdampak terhadap sosial-ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Bojong Kecamatan Majalaya. ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on researchers' interest in the convection home industry in Bojong Village, Majalaya District, Bandung Regency. The main problem discussed in this research is how the convection home industry in Bojong Village, Majalaya District, still exists and survives from 1985-2023. The convection home industry is a type of medium to lower business with a focus on the fabric sector. The production process using leftover factory "disposal" materials requires entrepreneurs to have a high creative spirit. The aim of this research is to examine how the convection home industry was initially established in Bojong Village, Majalaya District, the efforts made by entrepreneurs in developing the convection home industry and the impact on the socio-economic community in Bojong Village, Majalaya District. The research method used is the historical method, including heusristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The research techniques used are literature study and interviews. The research results show that the establishment of the convection home industry in Bojong Village, Majalaya District, was influenced by a creative spirit supported by skills and experience as a casual daily laborer at the Majalaya textile factory. H. Ade was the first person to initiate the convection home industry in Bojong Village, Majalaya District in 1985 with underwear as his flagship product. Creativity and innovation continue to be carried out by entrepreneurs to develop and maintain their businesses. The development of the convection home industry contributes to the creation of jobs as a source of livelihood and has an impact on the socio-economics of the community in Bojong Village, Majalaya District.
