Abstract
Penelitian ini tentang mengimplementasikan teknik mindfulness sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan focusing attention pada siswa kelas 2 di SD Serang 20. Focusing attention adalah kemampuan penting yang berpengaruh pada kegiatan pembelajaran, terutama bagi siswa usia sekolah dasar yang cenderung memiliki tingkat konsentrasi yang masih minim. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan naratif inquiry untuk menggali secara mendalam pengalaman siswa selama mengikuti kegiatan latihan mindfulness. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara naratif untuk mengetahui pola pengalaman siswa terkait pelaksanaan teknik mindfulness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik mindfulness memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memusatkan perhatian, mengurangi gangguan konsentrasi, serta meningkatkan kesadaran diri mereka selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi tenaga pendidik dan praktisi pendidikan dalam mengimplementasikan mindfulness ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan kognitif dan emosional siswa secara holistik. This study is about implementing mindfulness techniques as an effort to improve the ability to focus attention in grade 2 students at SD Serang 20. Focusing attention is an important ability that influences learning activities, especially for elementary school-age students who tend to have minimal concentration levels. This study uses a qualitative method with a narrative inquiry approach to explore in depth students' experiences during mindfulness training activities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, field notes, and documentation, which were then analyzed narratively to determine the pattern of students' experiences related to the implementation of mindfulness techniques. The results of the study showed that the application of mindfulness techniques had a positive impact on students' ability to focus attention, reduce concentration disorders, and increase their self-awareness during the learning process. This study is expected to be a reference for educators and education practitioners in implementing mindfulness into learning activities to support the development of students' cognitive and emotional skills holistically.
