Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis ciri khas teknik vokal yang ada pada musik keroncong. Metode penelitian penelitian kualitatif dilakukan melalui kajian literatur dan penelitian terdahulu, wawancara dengan praktisi, analisis diskografi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga ciri khas ornamen vokal keroncong, yaitu luk, gregel, dan cengkok yang masing-masing dapat dikombinasikan dan dibawakan secara nggandul. Ornamen ini berpeluang untuk pengembangan bahan ajar teknik pernapasan, perpindahan register, attack, vibrasi, phrasering, dan artikulasi. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat dikembangkan bahan ajar dengan menggunakan musik keroncong agar rasa irama nggandul dapat dipelajari This study aims to describe and analyze the characteristic vocal techniques that exist in keroncong music. The research method used was qualitative research, data collection through literature review and previous research, interviews with practitioners, analysis discography, and analysis of documents. There are four characteristic vocal ornamentations in keroncong, namely luk, gregel, and cengkok that was delivered in nggandul. Each ornaments can be used as teaching materials for vocal technique such as breathing technique, register, attack, vibration, phrasering, and articulation. For future studies, such exercises can be used as vocal technique teaching materials by using keroncong music accompaniment (nggandul tempo) to gain the sense of keroncong rhytm.
