Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar yang dilaksanakan tidak membuat siswa untuk berfikir secara penalaran, hal ini membuat penalaran matematis siswa menjadi rendah. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media video animaker untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan pengaruh kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasi Eksperiment dan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VI B sejumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan diterapkan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media video animaker. Sedangkan kelas VI D sejumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan diterapkan model konvensional yaitu model Cooperative Learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan CTL berbantuan media video animaker lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh model konvensional dengan N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,60 dan N-Gain kelas kontrol 0,50 yang berada pada kategori sedang dan terdapat pengaruh sebesar 60% terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media video animaker lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran konvensional dan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media video animaker berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sekolah dasar. ----- This research is motivated by the learning activities in elementary schools that are carried out do not make students think rationally, this makes students' mathematical reasoning low. The study was conducted using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by video animaker media to determine the improvement and influence of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The research used was Quasi Experiment and Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample used was 25 students in class VI B as the experimental class and the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by video animaker media was applied. While class VI D, 25 students as the control class and the conventional model was applied, namely the Cooperative Learning model. The results of the study showed an increase in the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who received the CTL approach assisted by video animaker media was better than students who received the conventional model with an experimental class N-Gain of 0.60 and a control class N-Gain of 0.50 which was in the moderate category and there was an influence of 60% on the mathematical reasoning abilities of elementary school students. The conclusion of this study is that the mathematical reasoning ability of students in the experimental class who received the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by video animaker media is better than students who received the conventional learning model and the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by video animaker media has an effect on the mathematical reasoning ability of elementary school students.
