Abstract
ABSTRAK
Analisis move retorika merupakan bagian dari analisis genre dalam English for Academic Purposes (ESP/EAP) yang mempelajari retorika teks, salah satunya pada artikel penelitian. Artikel penelitian dengan reputasi kutipan yang tinggi sebagai penanda kualitas artikel berdampak pada penentuan daya tarik jurnal bagi penulis dan pembaca. Move retorika artikel jurnal bereputasi dengan sitasi tinggi memberikan wawasan konstruktif ke dalam strategi komunikasi akademis yang efektif, membantu para sarjana Linguistik meningkatkan tulisan mereka untuk mendapatkan dampak dan visibilitas yang lebih besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana move retorika direalisasikan dan bagaimana pola siklus yang tersusun pada 30 artikel jurnal internasional bereputasi dengan sitasi tinggi di bidang Linguistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan statistik deskriptif melalui pendekatan analisis pola wacana pada analisis move dalam konsep genre (Swales 1990). Setiap bagian dari artikel dianalisis dengan menggunakan pola yang berbeda. abstrak menggunakan Hyland (2000), pendahuluan menggunakan pola Swales (2004), metode menggunakan pola Cotos et al. (2017), hasil pembahasan dan simpulan menggunakan pola Moreno dan Swales (2018). Hasil analisis menunjukkan move dengan status konvensional yaitu pada bagian abstrak terdapat 2 move, pendahuluan terdapat 3 move dan hasil, pembahasan serta simpulan terdapat 3 move, selain kemunculan move penelitian ini juga menemukan pola siklus pada artikel yaitu terdapat 10 pola pada abstrak, 9 pola pada pendahuluan 12 pola pada metode dan 29 pola pada hasil, pembahasan dan simpulan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang bagaimana langkah retorika digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah di bidang linguistik, yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas komunikasi ilmiah dalam genre tersebut. Penelitian mendatang disarankan menambahkan fitur linguistik dan penggunaan data dengan kuantitas yang lebih tinggi untuk memperkaya temuan pada penelitian kajian analisis move retorika.

ABSTRACT
Rhetorical move analysis is part of genre analysis in English for Academic Purposes (ESP/EAP) which studies the rhetorical structure of texts, one of which is in research articles. Research articles with a high citation reputation as a marker of article quality have an impact on determining the attractiveness of journals for authors and readers. Understanding rhetorical moves in these highly cited articles can provide constructive insights into effective academic communication strategies, helping linguistics scholars improve their writing for greater impact and visibility. This study aims to examine how move rhetoric and pattern sequence are realized in 30 Scopus in highly-cited reputable international journal articles in Linguistics. This research uses a descriptive qualitative with descriptive statistics through a discourse pattern analysis approach to move analysis in the concept of genre (Swales 1990). The abstract uses analysis Hyland (2000), the introduction uses Swales (2004), the method was use Cotos' pattern (2017), and the discussion results and conclusions uses Moreno and Swales' (2018). The result of the analysis moves with conventional status including 2 moves in the abstract, 3 moves in the introduction and 3 moves in the results discussion and conclusion. In addition to the appearance of moves, there are cycles of patterns including 10 patterns in the abstract, 9 patterns in the introduction, 12 patterns in the method and 29 patterns in the results, discussion and conclusion. This research provides a deep insight into how rhetorical moves are used in the writing of scientific articles in the field of linguistics, which can help improve the quality and effectiveness of scientific communication in the genre. Future research is suggested to add linguistic features and use a higher quantity of data to enrich the findings on the research of rhetorical move analysis studies.
