Abstract
Penelitian dalam skripsi ini dilatar belakangi berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti pada tanggal 5 januari 2023, masalah yang ditemukan peneliti adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa khususnya dalam pelajaran sejarah, masih banyak siswa yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yang telah ditetapkan sekolah, yaitu 76. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifivitas belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis media video animasi pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran berbasis power point pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Aspek kognitif yang menjadi cakupan dalam penelitian ini adalah aspek pemahaman (C2), menerapkan (C3), dan menganalis (C4) dengan rumusan masalah 1.Bagaimana efektivitas penggunaan media video animasi pembelajaran powtoon terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa dalam aspek memahami (C2) dalam pembelajaran sejarah materi kedatangan bangsa jepang kelas VIII? 2. Bagaimana efektivitas penggunaan media video animasi pembelajaran powtoon terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa dalam aspek menerapkan (C3) dalam pembelajaran sejarah materi kedatangan bangsa jepang kelas VIII? 3. Bagaimana efektivitas penggunaan media video animasi pembelajaran powtoon terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa dalam aspek menganalisis (C4) dalam pembelajaran sejarah materi kedatangan bangsa jepang kelas VIII?. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode kuasi eksperimen berupa Nonequivalent Control Group Design menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes berbentuk pilihan ganda, dengan soal pre-test dan post-test. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan cluster sampling. Hasil analisis data membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada ketiga aspek kognitif antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut dibuktikan hasil penelitian dengan kelas control yang memperoleh nilai pre-test yaitu 52, nilai posttest yaitu 68,4, nilai rata-rata yaitu 52, dan nilai gain yaitu 33,31% dan kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh nilai pre-test yaitu 56.2, nilai post- test yaitu 92, nilai rata-rata yaitu 52, dan nilai gain yaitu 81,73% yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Selain itu, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Uji-T Test dengan program SPSS 29 diperoleh hasil bahwa Sig. (2- tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti hipotesis alternatif dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa media video animasi berbasis powtoon efektif dalam pembelajaran sejarah dibandingkan dengan media power point dalam pembelajaran sejarah. The research in this thesis is based on the results of observations made by researchers on January 5 2023. The problem found by researchers is the low learning outcomes of students, especially in history lessons, there are still many students who get grades below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) that have been set by the school, namely 76. the aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of learning between students who use learning based on animated video learning media and power point based learning in history subjects. The cognitive aspects covered in this research are the aspects of understanding (C2), applying (C3), and analyzing (C4) with problem formulation 1. What is the effectiveness of using Powtoon learning animation video media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the understanding aspect (C2) in the history subject material on the arrival of the Japanese class VIII? 2. How effective is the use of animated learning video media on Powtoon on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the application aspect (C3) in the history subject material on the arrival of the Japanese in class VIII? 3. How effective is the use of animated learning video media on Powtoon on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the analyzing aspect (C4) in the history subject material on the arrival of the Japanese in class VIII? The research approach used is quantitative research, with a quasiexperimental method in the form of Nonequivalent Control Gro up Design usingPurposive Sampling techniques. The research instrument used was a multiple choice test, with pre-test and post-test questions. The sample in this study consisted of 25 students as the experimental class, and 25 students as the control class, with cluster sampling. The results of data analysis prove that there are differences in student learning outcomes in the three cognitive aspects between the experimental class and the control class. This is proven by the results of research with the control class which obtained a pre-test score of 52, a post-test score of 68.4, an average score of 52, and a gain value of 33.31% and the experimental class which obtained a pre-test score. namely 56.2, post-test value is 92, average value is 52, and gain value is 81.73% which is higher than the control class. Apart from that, hypothesis testing using the T-Test with the SPSS 29 program resulted in Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means the alternative hypothesis in this research can be accepted. The conclusion of this research reveals that PowerPoint-based animated video media is effective in learning history compared to PowerPoint media in learning history.
