Abstract

Keterampilan berbahasa setiap individu terbagi menjadi dua jenis yakni keterampilan bahasa reseptif dan keterampilan bahasa ekspresif (McIntyre, dkk., 2017, hlm. 3). Seperti halnya aspek perkembangan yang lain, aspek bahasa juga mengalami hambatan serta kesenjangan antara standar yang ada dengan fakta di lapangan. Dibutuhkan upaya yang besar dalam penyelesaian masalah yang terjadi di setiap ruang lingkup perkembangan anak usia dini. Salah satu bentuk upayanya ialah dengan memberikan metode pembelajaran yang menstimulasi perkembangan anak agar standar yang ada dapat tercapai secara optimal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh dari suatu metode pembelajaran yang telah dirancang dalam hal ini metode bercerita dengan teknik read aloud terhadap kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak usia 4-5 tahun. Pendekatan yang dilaksanakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dimana metode yang digunakan yakni metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling yakni sampel jenuh dimana seluruh bagian populasi menjadi bagian dari sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, tes dan observasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak usia 4-5 tahun di kelompok A TK PGRI Sejahtera sebelum dan setelah treatment dilaksanakan mengalami perbedaan berdasarkan komparasi kategori skor pretest dan posttest. Nilai efektifitas pembelajaran menggunakan metode bercerita dengan teknik read aloud berada pada angka 56,28% dimana hal ini membuktikan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode bercerita dengan teknik read aloud berpengaruh cukup efektif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak usia dini. Like other aspects of development, the language aspect also have gaps between existing standards and facts on the ground. One form of effort to solve the problems is to provide learning methods that stimulate children's development so that existing standards can be achieved optimally. This research was carried out to see whether or not there was an influence of a learning method that had been designed, in this case the storytelling method using the read aloud technique, on the receptive language abilities of children aged 4-5 years. The approach implemented in this research is a quantitative approach where the method used is a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique uses a probability sampling technique, namely a saturated sample. Data collection techniques include interviews, tests and observations. Meanwhile, data analysis uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study show that the receptive language abilities of children aged 4-5 years in group A of PGRI Sejahtera Kindergarten before and after the treatment were implemented experienced differences based on a comparison of the pretest and posttest score categories. The effectiveness value of learning using the storytelling method with the read aloud technique is at 56.28%, which proves that learning using the storytelling method with the read aloud technique has quite an effective effect on improving the receptive language skills of young children.
