Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor mengenai motivasi mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan waktu luangnya untuk menonton teater di kota Bandung, selain itu juga mencari faktor-faktor dominan apa saja yang akan terbentuk. Mahasiswa dikenal sebagai Agent of Change atau penggerak yang mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk bergerak dalam melakukan perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik lagi, dengan melalui berbagai ilmu, gagasan, serta pengetahuan yang mereka miliki. Dengan kesibukan yang mahasiswa miliki tentunya pemanfaatan waktu luang mereka pun perlu dipikirkan. Sedapat mungkin mahasiswa harus bisa memanfaatkan waktu luangnya dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang positif. Salah satu hal yang dapat menghibur dan memiliki nilai positif adalah dengan menonton teater. Selain fungsinya sebagai media hiburan teater juga merupakan media pendidikan bagi semua kalangan. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus pada mahasiswa UPI Bandung yang pernah menonton teater dengan mengambil 100 orang responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis faktor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, terdapat 4 faktor dominan yang muncul dari hasil analisis yaitu Faktor Eksternal, Faktor Internal, Faktor Fisik dan Faktor Sosial. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut peneliti dapat memberikan rekomendasi pada pihak pemerintah maupun pelaku seni untuk meningkatkan partisipasi mahasiswa untuk menonton teater di kota Bandung. Kata Kunci : Mahasiswa, Motivasi, Waktu luang, Teater, Analisis Faktor ABSTRACT This research analyzed the factors about the motivation of students in utilizing their leisure time to watch theatre in Bandung, in addition it’s also looking for the dominant factors will be formed. Student is known as an Agent of Change or a drive to invites the entire community to move in making a change to a better way, with through a variety of knowledge, ideas, and knowledge they have. With the busyness that students have, the use of the free time they need to think about. As much as possible the student should be able to utilize their leisure time with positive activities. One of the things that can be entertaining and have a positive value is to watch theatre. Besides for entertain, theater also have a function to educated for a lot of people. This research takes a case study of the students in UPI Bandung who has ever watched the theater by taking 100 respondents. This research uses descriptive quantitative method by using the method of factor analysis. Based on the results of the research conducted, there are 4 dominant factors that emerged from the results of the analysis, namely External Factors, Internal Factors, Physical Factors and Social Factors. And the results, the researchers can suggest a recommendations for the government and actors of the art to increase the participation of students to watch the theatre in Bandung.
