Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang sering dilanda bencana alam, termasuk erupsi gunung berapi, karena lokasinya yang berada di Ring of Fire. Menurut BNPB (2024), antara tahun 2022 hingga 2024 telah terjadi enam bencana erupsi gunung berapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kebencanaan melalui miniatur erupsi gunung berapi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa SDN Margamukti. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena terdapat pengetahuan yang minim terkait erupsi gunung berapi pada siswa SDN Margamukti. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimental dengan desain one group pre-test post-test. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 56 siswa kelas VI SDN Margamukti. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Temuan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa yang signifikan setelah intervensi edukasi, dengan nilai Z sebesar -6.030 dan p-value 0.000. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi kebencanaan melalui miniatur erupsi gunung berapi berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa. ABSTRACT Indonesia is one of the countries frequently affected by natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions, due to its location on the Ring of Fire. According to BNPB (2024), between 2022 and 2024, there have been six volcanic eruption disasters in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the impact of disaster education through a miniature volcanic eruption model on the knowledge level of SDN Margamukti students. The research was conducted due to the minimal knowledge about volcanic eruptions among the students of SDN Margamukti. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 56 sixth-grade students at SDN Margamukti. Data were collected through knowledge questionnaires before and after the education intervention and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The findings showed a significant increase in students' knowledge after the educational intervention, with a Z value of -6.030 and a p-value of 0.000. These results indicate that disaster education through a miniature volcanic eruption model has a significant impact on improving students' knowledge.
