Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Pemberdayaan Guru oleh Kepala Sekolah terhadap Mutu Pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Se-Kecamatan Garut Kota”. Rumusan masalah yang dibahas yaitu seberapa besar pengaruh pemberdayaan guru oleh kepala sekolah terhadap mutu pembelajaran. Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai pemberdayaan guru oleh kepala sekolah terhadap mutu pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Se-Kecamatan Garut Kota. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket tertutup dengan jumlah responden 399 orang guru beserta kepala sekolah yang tersebar di 36 sekolah pada Kecamatan Garut Kota sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil perhitungan kecenderungan umum dengan menggunakan Weighted Means Score (WMS) menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan guru oleh kepala sekolah termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan perolehan skor sebesar 3,24 dan mutu pembelajaran termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dengan perolehan skor sebesar 3,27. Hasil penghitungan uji normalitas menunjukan bahwa variabel X dan variabel Y berdistribusi normal, sehingga analisis data menggunakan statistik parametrik. Hasil pengujian homogenitas dapat diasumsikan bahwa variabel X dan Variabel Y menyebar secara homogen. Analisis korelasi antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y menggunakan Pearson Product Moment sebesar 0,4995 artinya kedua variabel berada pada tingkat hubungan yang cukup kuat dan terdapat korelasi yang positif. Hasil uji signifikansi korelasi dengan uji-t pada variabel X terhadap Y diperoleh koefisien korelasi yang signifikan (dapat diberlakukan untuk populasi dimana sampel diambil). Selanjutnya hasil uji koefisien determinasi yaitu variabel X memberikan pengaruh terhadap variabel Y sebesar 24,95% sedangkan sisanya 75,05% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pemberdayaan guru oleh kepala sekolah terhadap mutu pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Se-Kecamatan Garut Kota. Peneliti memberikan rekomendasi agar kepala sekolah hendaknya lebih berperan aktif dalam mengorganisir semua aspek yang berhubungan dengan pemberdayaan guru. This research is entitled “The Influence of Teachers’ Employment by Head Master towards Learning Quality of Elementary School in Garut Kota Region”. The main research question in the present study concern on the influence of teachers’ employment by head master that affects learning quality. Generally the aim of the research is to obtain the overview of teachers’ employment by head master towards learning quality of elementary school in Garut Kota Region. The research method used descriptive method by using quantitative approach. The data collection technique used closed-questionnaire that is distributed to 399 respondents-teachers and head masters of elementary school in Garut Kota region- as research sample’s. The result of general tendency by using Weighted Means Score (WMS) shows that teachers’ employment by head master belonged to excellent category which the score obtained 3,24 and the learning quality belonged to excellent category by the score obtained 3,27. The result of normality test showed that X and Y variable distributed normally, so that data analysis used statistical parametric. Homogeneity test result can be assumed that X and Y variable distributed homogenously. Correlation analysis between X and Y variable used Pearson Product Moment 0,4995 which means both variable have a strong and positive correlation. The significant test of correlation by using T test on y variable is 24,95% meanwhile the rest 75,05% is affected by another factor. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant correlation between teachers’ employment by head master with the learning quality of elementary school in Garut Kota region. The research recomemdeds the head master to actively contibute in organizing every aspects which are associated with teacher’s employment.
