Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SDN 7 Cibogo. Hal tersebut berdasarkan dari pengalaman mengajar di kelas V SDN 7 Cibogo, diketahui hanya 19% saja siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM. Dilakukannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran serta peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan dan skala dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together. Indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis meliputi: (1) menyelesaikan masalah matematis yang disajikan dalam bentuk soal cerita, (2) menyelesaikan masalah matematis yang disajikan dalam gambar geometri, dan (3) menyelesaikan masalah matematis yang disajikan dalam bentuk kalimat matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), peneliti menggunakan desain PTK model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari dua tindakan. Pada setiap siklus, siswa diberikan tes akhir siklus untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan tes akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil temuan yang muncul yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together sudah terlaksana dengan baik, karena prinsip pada cooperative learning tipe NHT sudah diterapkan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe NHT sudah terlaksana dengan baik, karena selama dilaksanakan penelitian sudah sesuai dengan perencanaan yang telah disusun serta terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa selama penelitian berlangsung. Selain itu, hasil temuan menujukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh presentase penguasaan indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Rata-rata indeks gain yang diperoleh dari siklus I ke siklus II menunjukan interpretasi sedang (0,42). Diharapkan guru dapat menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together serta menjadi fasilitator dan motivator dalam proses pembelajaran bagi siswa. This research is motivated by the lack of mathematical problem solving ability of students grade 7 Cibogo SDN. It is based on the experience of teaching in the classroom SDN 7 Cibogo, known to be only 19% of students scoring above the KKM. This study aims to determine how the planning and implementation of learning and increase students' mathematical problem solving ability in comparison material and scale models of cooperative learning by applying the type of numbered heads together. Indicators used to measure the ability of solving mathematical problems include: (1) complete the mathematical problems presented in the form of word problems, (2) complete the mathematical problems presented in the figure geometry, and (3) complete the mathematical problems presented in the form of a mathematical sentence. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), the researchers used a model TOD design Kemmis and Mc Taggart with two cycles and each cycle consists of two actions. In each cycle, students are given the final test cycle to measure students' mathematical problem solving ability. The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet and final test. Data collection techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. The findings that emerged is the learning plan to implement cooperative learning model of the type numbered heads together already performing well, because the principle of the cooperative learning has been applied NHT type. Implementation of learning by implementing cooperative learning models NHT type already performing well, as long as the research has been conducted in accordance with the plans that have been developed and there is an increase in students' mathematical problem solving ability during the study. In addition, the findings showed that the learning of mathematics by applying a model of cooperative learning type of numbered heads together can enhance students' mathematical problem solving ability. This is shown by the percentage of mastery of mathematical problem solving ability indicator has increased from cycle I to cycle II. Average index of the gain obtained from the first cycle to the second cycle shows the interpretation is (0.42). It is expected that teachers can implement cooperative learning model of the type numbered heads together and be a facilitator and motivator in the learning process for students.
