Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan jumlah anak mencit betina dara (Mus musculus L) Galur Swiss Webster yang dikawinkan dengan mencit jantan yang diberi jus biji pinang muda (Areca catechu L) dengan jantan yang diberi jus daun jati belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia L). Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah titik implantasi dan jumlah anak mencit yang lahir pasca dikawinkan dengan masing-masing jantan yang telah diberi perlakuan. Mencit betina yang digunakan berjumlah masing-masing perlakuan 24 ekor yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok yang dikawinkan dengan kelompok mencit jantan yang telah diberi jus biji Pinang muda dan jus Jati Belanda. Adanya sumbat vagina dinyatakan sebagai H-0 kebuntingan. Masa kebuntingan mencit rata-rata 19-21 hari. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL)dengan 6 kali pengulangan dan 4 dosis perlakuan (0,00 g/BB/hari; 0,15 g/BB/hari;0,25 g/BB/hari; 0,35 g/BB/hari) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil jumlah rata-rata titik implantasi tertingggi terdapat pada perlakuan jus jati belanda dan jus biji pinang muda pada dosis 0,0 g/BB/hari (10,83 1,17) dan titik implantasi terendah terdapat pada perlakuan jus jati belanda dengan dosis 0,35 g/BB/hari (4,83 0,98). Begitu pula dengan rerata jumlah anak tertinggi terdapat pada kedua perlakuan kontrol (9,67 1,37). Sedangkan jumlah anak terrendah pada perlakuan jus biji pinang muda dengan dosis 0,35 g/BB/hari(0,00 0,00). Hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah anak mencit betina dara yang dikawinkan dengan jantan yang diberi jus biji Pinang muda tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dengan jumlah anak mencit betina dara yang dikawinkan dengan mencit jantan yang diberi jus daun Jati Belanda. Akan tetapi kedua jus tersebut menunjukkan mampu menurunkan jumlah anak dan titik implantasi. Research has been conducted with the aim to compare the number of children virgin female mice (Mus musculus L) strain Swiss Webster mice were mated with males fed young betel nut juice (Areca catechu L) with males who were given juice leaves of Dutch identity (Guazuma ulmifolia L). The parameters used in this study is the point of implantation and the number of children born after the mice were mated with each male who had been treated. Female mice were used each treatment totaling 24 tails were divided into 4 groups of male mice mated with a group that has given young Pinang seed juice and juice Teak Netherlands. The presence of vaginal plugs expressed as H-0 of pregnancy. Gestation period of mice an average of 19-21 days. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 replicates and 4-dose treatment (0.00 g / bw / day, 0.15 g / bw / day; 0.25 g / bw / day, 0.35 g / BW / day ) used in this study. The results of the average number of implantation tallest point contained in the treatment of Dutch identity juice and the juice of young betel nut at a dose of 0.0 g / bw / day (10.83 1.17) and the lowest was at the point of implantation treatment with a dose of Dutch identity juice 0.35 g / bw / day (4.83 0.98). Similarly, the average number of children was highest in both of the control treatments (9.67 1.37). While the lowest number of children at a young betel nut juice treatment at a dose of 0.35 g / bw / day (0.00 0.00). Comparative statistical analysis showed that both of the juice leaf juice Teak Dutch and young betel nut juice has similar effectiveness to decrease the number of children produced, but the number of children born to the lowest found in young betel nut juice dose of 0.35 g / BW / day. The results of the study, it can be concluded that the number of children virgin female mice were mated with males fed young Areca seed juice has no significant difference by the number of children virgin female mice were mated with male mice fed leaf juice Teak Netherlands. However, both of the juice showed beeing able to decrease the number of children and the point of implantation.
