Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) berbantuan media Solar System Scope terhadap ketereampilan proses sains dan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VI sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group, dengan sampel merupakan peserta didik kelas VI A dan VI B di salah satu sekolah dasar Kabupaten Purwakarta. Data yang digunakan adalah data tes yaitu uji keterampilan proses sains (Pre-Test dan Post-Test) berupa soal esai sebanyak empat soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model IBL berbantuan Solar System Scope memberikan pengaruh sebesar 42,6% serta skor rata-rata Pre-Test kelas eksperimen adalah 50,44 dan skor rata-rata Post-Test setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan Model IBL berbantuan Solar System Scope adalah 84,06. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model IBL berbantuan Solar System Scope memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains pada peserta didik serta terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan proses sains peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Penerapan model IBL berbantuan media Solar System Scope dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. ----- This study is motivated by the low level of science process skills among elementary school students. The research aims to analyze the effect of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model assisted by the Solar System Scope media on the science process skills and their improvement among sixth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design, using sixth-grade students from classes VI A and VI B at an elementary school in Purwakarta Regency as the sample. The data collected included test data, specifically science process skills tests (Pre-Test and Post-Test) in the form of four essay questions. The findings indicate that the IBL model assisted by Solar System Scope had an effect of 42.6%. The experimental class achieved an average Pre-Test score of 50.44 and an average Post-Test score of 84.06 after learning with the IBL model assisted by Solar System Scope. These results demonstrate a significant improvement in the science process skills of the experimental class compared to the control class. It can be concluded that the IBL model assisted by Solar System Scope positively affects students' science process skills and leads to a significant improvement in the experimental class compared to the control class. The implementation of the IBL model assisted by Solar System Scope media can be utilized to enhance students' science process skills.
