Abstract
Di tengah meningkatnya praktik perdagangan tradisional yang tidak etis, Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan dengan kearifan lokal "kuranglabih" menawarkan model perdagangan yang adil dan mencerminkan karakter khas pedagang Banjar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan dapat berfungsi sebagai strategi internalisasi nilai kearifan lokal "kuranglabih" dalam upaya memperkuat pendidikan karakter masyarakat Banjar. Studi ini dilakukan di Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan, Kalimantan Selatan, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman (1992) yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, nilai kearifan lokal "kuranglabih" di masyarakat Banjar mencerminkan prinsip kehati-hatian dalam jual-beli, sikap moderat, dan upaya untuk mendapatkan keberkahan sehingga tercipta perdagangan yang mabrur. Nilai ini juga berfungsi sebagai pengingat untuk menghindari dosa akibat ketidakakurasian timbangan atau barang cacat serta sebagai sarana untuk mencapai keikhlasan antara penjual dan pembeli. Kedua, proses perdagangan di Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan menjadi media efektif untuk menginternalisasi nilai "kuranglabih" karena karakteristik khasnya, seperti interaksi langsung di atas perahu, tradisi turun-temurun, proses tawar-menawar, ungkapan "kuranglabih haja lah," dan penyelesaian transaksi dengan akad jual-beli. Ketiga, pasar terapung ini menunjukkan efektivitas dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter masyarakat Banjar melalui internalisasi nilai "kuranglabih" melalui proses imitasi dan habituasi dalam lima tahap: informasi, pelatihan, modeling, conditioning, dan kulturalisasi. Keempat, meskipun ada beberapa tantangan seperti kondisi alam, penurunan minat generasi muda, perbedaan budaya, kebersihan dan keamanan pasar, serta kecenderungan masyarakat menuju individualisme, nilai "kuranglabih" tetap memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter. Nilai-nilai ini tidak hanya memperkaya budaya Banjar, tetapi juga dapat menjadi sumber pengetahuan penting bagi pendidikan karakter pada tingkat nasional. Amid the rise of unethical traditional trade practices, the Lok Baintan Floating Market, with its local wisdom of "kuranglabih," offers a fair trade model that reflects the unique character of Banjarese traders. This study aims to explore how the Lok Baintan Floating Market can function as a strategy for internalizing the local wisdom value of "kuranglabih" in efforts to strengthen the character education of the Banjar community. The study was conducted at the Lok Baintan Floating Market in South Kalimantan, using a qualitative approach and case study method, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman (1992) model, that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that, first, the local wisdom value of "kuranglabih" in the Banjar community reflects the principles of caution in buying and selling, a moderate attitude, and an effort to gain blessings, thus creating a prosperous trade. This value also serves as a reminder to avoid sin due to inaccurate weights or defective goods, as well as a means to achieve sincerity between the sellers and the buyers. Second, the trading process at the Lok Baintan Floating Market becomes an effective medium for internalizing the value of "kuranglabih" because of its unique characteristics, such as direct interactions on boats, long-standing traditions, the bargaining process, the expression "kuranglabih haja lah," and the completion of transactions with a sales agreement. Third, this floating market proves to be effective in strengthening character education for the Banjar community through the internalization of the value of "kuranglabih" via the processes of imitation and habituation in five stages: information, training, modeling, conditioning, and culturalization. Fourth, although there are challenges such as environmental conditions, declining interest among the younger generation, cultural differences, market cleanliness and security, as well as the tendency towards individualism, the value of "kuranglabih" continues to make a significant contribution to character development. These values not only enrich Banjarese culture but can also serve as an important source of knowledge for character education at the national level.
