Abstract
Latar Belakang. DBD merupakan penyakit yang menyebar di seluruh wilayah tropis dan subtropis, termasuk Indonesia. Setiap tahunnya, jumlah kasus demam berdarah meningkat drastis sehingga mengakibatkan angka kematian yang tinggi. Temuan terobosan dalam teknologi nyamuk wolbachia telah digunakan untuk mengobati penyakit demam berdarah. Perawat harus terlebih dahulu memahami inovasi teknologi nyamuk ber-wolbachia, karena ini merupakan program baru yang mungkin belum banyak diketahui oleh perawat dan pihak lain. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap perawat terhadap penggunaan nyamuk Wolbachia dalam pencegahan DBD di Kabupaten Sumedang. Metode. Desain penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional digunakan dengan melibatkan 297 perawat yang dipilih melalui teknik Accidental Sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang valid dan reliabel, serta dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan korelasional (Spearman Rho). Hasil. Sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang (74%) dan sikap negatif (61%). Hasil uji Spearman Rho menunjukkan nilai p = 0,303 (> 0,05), menandakan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan sikap. Kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menemukan tidak adanya hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan dan sikap perawat terhadap pemanfaatan nyamuk Wolbachia untuk pencegahan DBD. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi edukasi berbasis bukti, pelatihan teknis, dan kampanye yang meningkatkan pemahaman dan dukungan perawat terhadap implementasi metode ini di lapangan. Background. Dengue fever is a disease that spreads throughout tropical and subtropical regions, including Indonesia. Every year, the number of dengue cases increases drastically, resulting in high mortality rates. The breakthrough discovery in Wolbachia mosquito technology has been used to treat dengue fever. Nurses must first understand the innovation of Wolbachia mosquito technology, because this is a new program that may not be widely known by nurses and others. Objective. This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nurses towards the use of Wolbachia mosquitoes in preventing DHF in Sumedang Regency. Method. A quantitative descriptive correlational research design was used involving 297 nurses selected through the Accidental Sampling technique. Data were collected using valid and reliable questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistics (Spearman Rho). Results. Most respondents had poor knowledge (74%) and negative attitudes (61%). The results of the Spearman Rho test showed a p value = 0.303 (> 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes. Conclusion. This study found that there was no significant relationship between nurses' knowledge and attitudes towards the use of Wolbachia mosquitoes for dengue prevention. Therefore, evidence-based educational strategies, technical training and campaigns are needed that increase nurses' understanding and support for the implementation of this method in the field.
