Abstract
Literasi statistik adalah kemampuan dasar yang penting bagi siswa. Pembelajaran konvensional di sekolah sering kali belum optimal dalam mendukung pencapaian literasi ini, sehingga siswa kesulitan memahami konsep statistik dan kurang mendapat kesempatan untuk bereksplorasi serta menganalisis masalah berbasis data kontekstual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan media chatbot dalam pembelajaran matematika, serta membantu pencapaian kemampuan literasi statistik siswa dan mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penggunaannya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar validasi ahli, angket praktikalitas guru dan siswa, soal tes kemampuan literasi statistik, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) media chatbot berhasil dikembangkan melalui tahapan ADDIE; (2) media ini dinyatakan sangat layak dengan tingkat validitas 86,5% dari ahli media dan 81,5% dari ahli materi yang tergolong sangat valid, praktikalitas yang tinggi dengan 75% dari guru yang tergolong praktis dan 80,1% dari siswa yang tergolong sangat praktis, serta terbukti efektif melalui uji satu sampel yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dengan nilai KKM; (3) ketuntasan klasikal literasi statistik siswa mencapai 83,33% yang menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa mencapai KKM; dan (4) respons siswa sangat positif, dengan aspek kognitif 78,78%, afektif 77,28%, dan psikomotorik 76,58%, yang berada dalam kategori baik. Media chatbot dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran interaktif yang memberikan umpan balik langsung kepada siswa. Pengembangan media chatbot dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran dan membantu mereka memahami materi secara lebih efektif. Statistical literacy is a fundamental skill that is essential for students. Conventional teaching methods in schools often fail to effectively support the achievement of this literacy, making it difficult for students to comprehend statistical concepts and limiting their opportunities to explore and analyze data-based contextual problems. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of a chatbot media in mathematics learning, enhance students' statistical literacy skills, and describe their responses to its use. This research follows the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants in this study were 7th-grade students at a public junior high school in Bandung. The instruments used in the study include expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, statistical literacy skill test items, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the chatbot media was successfully developed through the ADDIE stages; (2) the media was deemed highly feasible with a validity score of 86.5% from media experts and 81.5% from material experts categorized as very valid, a high practicality score of 75% from teachers categorized as practical and 80.1% from students categorized as very practical, and it proved to be effective based on a one-sample test showing significant differences with the passing grade (KKM); (3) the classical completeness of students' statistical literacy reached 83.33%, indicating that most students met the passing grade; and (4) students' responses were highly positive, with cognitive aspects scoring 78.78%, affective aspects 77.28%, and psychomotor aspects 76.58%, all categorized as good. Chatbot media can serve as an innovative solution for interactive learning by providing immediate feedback to students. The development of chatbot media can enhance student engagement in education and help them understand the material more effectively.
